Chapter 15

(Sam POV)

"No really, the place we are staying at is so nice oh my god." Elton said excited. We were now entering the Sonoma County and we were driving through a town called Petaluma. I had been watching the signs, getting excited as well. It was only about 2 more hours til we arrived in Gaulala. We only stopped at the Madonna Inn to make the trip shorter because Elton said we would want to have as much time as possible in Gaulala. I didn't mind.

"So what are we gonna do when we get there?" I asked.

"Well, just pick our rooms. There are three rooms. Two rooms with one bed and one room with two beds. I call master!"

"I call the other I am not sharing with any of yall." Heath said.

"So I guess me and Sam will take the other room. I don't mind." Colby said.

"Yeah, I'm cool with that." I said.

"Cool, so when we get there we will just unpack and stuff. Tomorrow is when the fun begins. I don't really have anything planned though so we will just have fun and do stupid stuff." Elton said.

"Sounds fun." I said with a smile. I am just happy to get away from LA for awhile and spend time with everyone, especially Colby.

About an hour and a half later Elton had the camera out and we were screaming songs and just making each other laugh. Currently though, Heath was yelling at Elton to be careful while Elton just laughed, scaring Heath every time we went around a curve.

I held tight to my seat and Colby did the same but he looked like he was having way more fun then me.

"At least we aren't in an RV this time!" Colby said laughing.

I remembered all the fun times in the RVs. I laughed a bit too.

We pulled into the next little beach town and I read the sign.

"We are here boys!" Elton said.

Me and Colby jumped to the windows and looked around like little kids. There were some stores and a few people walking around, the place looked so calm and nice, I loved it. Colby grabbed my arm and I turned to look at him.

"Look at the beach!" He said turning back to his window. I looked over and saw the beautiful ocean. The sun was starting to set and it looked amazing.

About 3 minutes later we finally got to the beach house we were staying at. I grabbed my bags and walked inside.

"Elton where is our room?" I asked walking next to Colby.

"Right over at the end of the hall." Elton said pointing to down the hall.

Me and Colby both ran to the room. There were two beds, one on one side of the room and one on the other.

"You can have the one by the window." Colby said dropping his stuff at the foot of his bed.

"Okay, I'm cool with that." I said dropping my stuff at my bed. The house had a welcoming feeling to it. I liked it.

"Yo, you two should come check out the view." Heath said.

"Okay." I said. I looked over to Colby and he followed me out to the living room. We walked onto the back porch and boom, the ocean. It was so pretty. The water looked so blue as the sun set under it.

"I'm gonna go order pizza, you three enjoy the view." Elton said.

I nodded but kept my eyes on the ocean. I felt like I could watch it forever. The waves hit the rocks below and it made it even more peaceful. This trip was going to be one well deserved break.

"Where did all the marshmallows go?" Heath asked from the kitchen. It was now about 11 pm and we were sitting my the fire place roasting marshmallows. 

"I think the other bag is in the second cabinet." I said looking to the kitchen.

"Or I ate them all." Colby said putting another marshmallow on his stick.

"Of course you would." I said rolling my eyes. Colby just smiled at me stupidly and turned back to the fire.

It was a really calm night. I looked behind me to see Elton passed out on the couch. He was really tired from driving all day. I was, for some reason, not tired at all. Probably cause I sat in a car for over 9 hours and did nothing. Colby looked wide awake too, and Heath looked a bit tired. I stood up and walked over to the fridge and pulled a water bottle out. I walked over to the back porch and slid the door open quietly so I didn't wake Elton up. It wasn't that cold. It was oddly warm for February actually. I couldn't really see the ocean, but I could hear it. 

I sat in one of the lawn chairs and laid back.

"It's so peaceful out here." Colby said.

I jumped, "You scared me!" I said.

He shrugged, "Oops." he said smiling.

I laid back down on the chair and Colby sat in the one next to me.

"Yeah, the beaches In LA are nice. But there is always some type of noise. Here it's just the ocean, and you can actually see the stars." Colby said looking up.

I nodded.

"So, tomorrow we are gonna go find a beach?" Colby asked.

"That was the plan, but I doubt any of us will be up before noon." I said.

He nodded, "Elton will probably be."

"Yeah, then he'll wake us up by banging pots and pans together."

"Or with a fake fire alarm." Colby added.

We both laughed a bit.

"This is gonna be fun." I said.
