Chapter 20

(Colby POV)

Things were fine, I was fine. 

Things were, actually perfect.

Me and Sam. The beach. A vacation.

Everything was good because I was away from all my problems.

But my problems caught up with me. I wasn't hiding it and I could see Sam knew so then I hid it.

We left that little beach town and I made Sam believe I was okay. 

Why do I do this? I hate pity. I hate talking about how I feel. I know there is a problem and I want help but I won't let people help me.

So, it's my fault. Always has been, always will be. Because I always mess up. And people just assume I'm okay. And I'll let them assume cause I'm scared to say anything.

So, here I am back in LA. Back in me and Brennen's apartment. If it will even be ours for long. Because I want to move back to the house with Sam and everyone.

I'm just scared to say anything.

Because I am a fucking coward.

I sat on the couch scrolling through my phone. I heard the door open and close. I looked up and saw Brennen. 

"Hey." I said.

"Hey, what's up?" He asked.

"Eh nothing much, planning on heading over to the house. Me and Sam have to make the announcement." I said.

Today had been okay, nothing was really pulling me down today.

"Really?" He said, "Hell yeah dude. When you release it I'll tell snap and insta to check it." He said walking over to the kitchen.

"Cool, thanks man." I said.

I stood up and grabbed my keys. For some reason I walked out without saying bye to Brennen but he doesn't care. Today was going to be good, nothing is gonna mess me up, I will be okay.

After driving to Sam's we decided to film out back by the pool.

We decided, since Sam was the most active one on social media since I left, he would start the video.

"Hey guys, it's Sam. Now, I know, this channel has been dead for a year and a half. But I have some good news for you." He said.

I walked over and sat down. "We're back!" We both yelled.

I think realization hit us again and we both smiled. 

"I am so glad to be back! I've missed all you and the house and Sam." I said looking at him.

We both looked at each other. Just, stared for a second. I turned away though.

"So, yep! We're back." Sam said.

"Should we talk about how we met again?" I asked.

"Yeah, so we were both at a park and -" Sam went on. I stopped listening. Just stared.

He moved so, easily. He smiled and laughed and just was all there and so happy so easily. I loved him for that. And for his sky blue eyes. And his bright blond hair. And his amazing personality. And everything. Everything Sam Golbach was, I loved.

"- Here we are." Sam finished, putting his arm around me.

"Yep, here we are." I said looking into his eyes, reassuring him.

He smiled at me and I smiled back and we laughed then we hugged.

"I really really missed you." I whispered. "I know I've said it a million times but I did." I said.

Sam nodded into my shoulder. We pulled apart. 

"So, expect more content." I said.

"Sam and Colby is back!" Sam yelled.

And we ended the video.

"I want to edit this, now." He said.

"I'll help!" I said.

and we both ran to Sam's room.

Jake gave us a weird look as we ran by but we brushed it off and kept going.

 We got on Sam's laptop and started editing. But Sam stopped.

"What?" I asked.

"We shouldn't edit this. Let's just have a full unedited video. we've never really done that." Sam said.

"Yeah, I like that." I said.

"Then let's post. You go for insta I'll go for youtube." Sam said.

I smiled and nodded.

And after a few minutes, everything was posted, and we waited.

"I'm nervous." Sam said suddenly.

I nodded, agreeing.

I took out my phone, it was blowing up. Things like "Oh my god! I've been waiting for this!" And "I'm crying!" Normal fan comments. 

"It looks good so far." I said smiling.

I looked up and Sam suddenly kissed me. I kissed back of course. He pulled away then tackle-hugged me. We laid there for a second.

"I'm so happy to have you." Sam said.

I smiled, "I'm happy to have you."

"Guys! We watched the video!" I heard Corey yelled as the doorknob turned. 

I threw myself up and acted like nothing happened.

Corey opened the door with a huge smile. "It's blowing up! Have you seen?" He said.

"Really?" I asked. I opened my phone and went to the video.

It really was. 

"Holy shit!" I said.

I showed Sam and we both smiled.

Today is good.
