Selena's POV

6:30 am, but I didn't wince at the early hours I had awoken. I was somewhat relieved that I didn't have to waste away in my bed for the day.

The early start meant a clear one, I hoped.

With a quick, steamy shower and getting ready for my day ahead, the hour seemed to go extremely fast. It was already 7:30 am when I was cleansed from yesterday, a full face of makeup and a casual outfit to meet Demi and Ariana in.

The smell of coffee and fresh toast ignited my senses insanely. I felt like I was in a local coffee shop, the divine smells and the radio faintly blocking out the possible silence.

"Morning, sweetheart." Michael enters the kitchen with a full grin on his face as he places a few things on the sides passing him. He doesn't hesitate to give me a quick kiss on my lips and keep me in his arms for a few seconds, lifting me up from the floor as well. His eyes remained on me each moment until his hand knocked against my mug by accident. "Is there any coffee to spare?"

"Good morning and of course, I just made a fresh pot," I say with a small smile back as I pick up the coffee pot behind me, his travel mug already in his grasp with the lid off. I begin to pour until it was near the top, enough so it wouldn't spill. "Are you sure you need the extra energy?"

"There is nothing wrong with being a little energised in the morning." He pulls up his tie to his button and pats it down to smother any small creases at the surface.

"There you go," I announce, putting the coffee back in its usual place and out of our way.

"Thank you, babe, you look beautiful by the way." His enthusiasm was one of the many signs that he was an entirely new person if even possible. The bags under his eyes were faded, his smile didn't show weakness and his hair wasn't just pushed back, it was properly styled with product. The combination of cologne, hair gel and god knows what else he had on was a little too overpowering if you stood too close.

It was like a good night sleep had magically transformed him into a new Michael - the Michael I actually fell in love with forever ago.

"Thank you. I must say, you seem extremely chirpy this morning." I mention as I pull myself into one of the high stools near the kitchen island.

"Why wouldn't I be? It's a brand new day, Selena. We are in a position of opportunities right now and a virtuous life ahead. Our purpose is to feel happiness from our successes, our knowledge, the people we are surrounded by and I just feel extremely hopeful. " I stared at the man who was using my fiancé's skin because I definitely think someone was controlling his body.

As he gave a sigh of relief, I just stared at him.

"Are you high?"

"No, I'm not."

"Did you swallow an ethics book?"

"No." He tried so hard not to roll his eyes at me, he did a good job as he succeeded, just. But he still sounded full of life as the sarcasm just rolled flawlessly. "I am feeling great because my wife-to-be just saved us from bankruptcy and I genuinely believe this is going to be a new chapter for us, you in particular."

"Oh," I say. "Well, in that case, you are very welcome." He moves closely again and pulls me towards him by my waist, my hands landing on his shirt. "I think the new chapter in our lives will be exciting too, there is so much to think about."

Exciting - the only word I manage to think because I couldn't even think of any word to describe what our future holds. Yet, we had so much to think about, I definitely did.
