Justin's POV
I was definitely the outcast of this group of egotistical assholes who have too much money to deal with. I was probably the only one who didn't know the exact location of my asshole.
I was surrounded by various men, various ages and various backgrounds: some I was fairly aquatinted with from a business perspective and some I have never had the displeasure of meeting until now. It didn't even take me a full hour to conclude that these were definitely the kind of men who would turn a turtle on its back and laugh for the sick pleasure or the boredom.
I think having Alfredo at my side right now was saving my sanity - just. At least he knew what an actual good time was, not drinking out of shitty expensive glasses, garnished with olives on a stick just for the exquisite look.
Alfredo and I were contently necking back tequila, vodka and anything that was a high alcoholic percentage. I needed a buzz, especially after today's revelations, the lack of resolution with Selena and my own personal conflict. Fuck knows where I was standing with anything right now.
Each and every person here, besides myself and Alfredo, were wearing their bests suits which were accessorised with either golden chains, diamond rings on each finger, an expensive watch bigger than their first or a tie clip encrusted with diamonds that could pay for a teenagers entire education tuition. They all had something to show, probably to tell the women who give them a glance they have the wealth they secretly desire.
But besides that, I couldn't even look at my father and the man he was hiding. He had been pulling such a vindictive facade - as far as I was concerned, he wasn't the man I looked up to growing up. He wasn't the idol I needed to help me prosper into a good, honest man with business qualities that would help me run my own empire one day. Perhaps he always has been like this, just been under the wraps.
Every time he spoke to me or every time he appeared to be having an amazing time, it took every ounce of my being not to break that buzz by punching the dick in the face. Every smile, every joke. I had to force myself to take a step back - I was only holding back for Selena's sake.
But here we are, bar number three with the biggest alcohol selection of the night.
"Drink! Drink! Drink!" They all chant as Michael downs an entire fishbowl filled with some kind of cocktail drink. He was wearing those stupid glasses in shapes of stars, the only cheap thing about this entire group. The cheers squeal in my ears as he slams down the fishbowl in victory.
Alfredo was laughing with them all while I just sat on the sidelines, observing and judging.
"There has to be better bars around here, this place is dead. Oh come on Michael, you know all the hot spots around here." One of his friends said, I didn't know who he was but he was definitely drunk, slurring his words nearly.
"You are right, it is a little boring now. Drink up so we can go to the next bar, lads." Michael shouts as they all drink the remainder of their glasses in urgency. I think if I heard the same cheers again I would lose my mind, it was just like a sharp, irritating noise.
"Your father is fucking wild, why haven't I ever seen this side of him?" Alfredo leans back to me with his vodka and coke in his hand.
"Trust me, man. My father has many sides of him that no one knows about." I slyly say before moving across the seat and eventually following the rest of the group to the exit.
"Where shall we drink next then?" A British accent rose from the already tipsy crowd of suits as we battled our way through the cities streets to find our next getaway. "I heard there is a small bar around the corner."
