22 - Disappointment

He did not had enough strength to argue with Levi and his words left a certain sting in his heart. 'Something we needed?' The thought is persistent in his head and for some reason it caused a sharp pain to go through his heart almost as if a wound reopened, but it wasn't like that. He kept quiet while he let's Levi do as he wants.
    Strolling down the hall to the bath his look turns a sad as he keeps thinking more into it.

Only because you care for me right now, doesn't mean you see me like I see you.' He keeps on thinking that way even when they arrived in the bath. A sharp pain runs through his body muting for a moment his thoughts as Levi helps him into the tub.
    The water felt great on his skin, but he had to hiss as the water hits his wound. His eyes are transfixed on Levi's face again, seeing how concentrated and careful he is. A sad, but admiring look crawls into Erwins eyes. Why would a man, a corporal like him do this. Sit in a bath with him together, shooing away the nurse, sleeping with him. Why? He couldn't comprehend.
    "You do good." Softly he answers Levi's question, but he puts his hand over Levi's flinching slightly at the bigger amount of water running down his wound. "Levi? Did you really... I mean yesterday, was it reakky just of need?" His heart arches painfully, fearing the answer. He was already sure in his mind, that he behaved stupid, thinking that even he himself felt such great affection towards this man, because he cared for him. If he was honest with himself, he still can't remember a thing about him and he doesn't know why he had such strong feelings for him. Why it made him happy when he obsessed over him. There are too many questions in his head, but the only thing reflected in his face is sadness, anxiety and love.
    His thumb caresses Levi's hand as if it is the most natural thing in the world, but he needed an answer. Automatically, because they were really close, he slides a bit back to give Levi some more space in the tub, having noticed that he is hurt as well, which to be frank was his own fault. He didn't had to force himself, yet he did and it felt like heaven for Erwin.

He looked at Erwin with a serious stare before leaning forward.
