Complete Strangers
"Okay, kiddo. Come visit soon," Embry's father kisses her head and gets in his car. Driving away. Leaving her all alone with two strangers. Embry sighs, tucks her lip between her teeth, and walks inside.
"Hi," Melissa stands at the door, very nervous, "Scotts not home right now, he's with his friend Stiles. But, um, welcome home." Melissa wraps Embry in a hug. The young girl stiffens, her breath catching in her lungs. Melissa quickly lets go.
"Oh, my, I'm... I'm sorry. I know we haven't had the closest relationship because you lived with your dad, but I want you to know, your just as much my kid as Scott is," Melissa seems to catch on to what she said, "It... It's not like I ever thought you weren't, I'm just saying-"
"It's fine. I, I think I just want to get settled, ya know? I'll, I'll talk to you later," With a nod, Embry dashes upstairs, tears coming to her eyes. The oldest McCall rummages through her bag, her heart racing. Embry pulls out a orange bottle with a white lids. Lexapro. She takes two, she's only supposed to take one. Embry no longer needs water to wash it down. Curling up into a ball on her bed, she waits for it to kick in, trying to calm herself down.

Embry has been going to school for a few weeks. She had to start in the middle of second semester. No one cares. She doesn't talk to Scott or any of his friends. She keeps her headphones in and her head down. She wants to go back to her dads. That's what she tells herself. But it's not true. She wants Charlie.

Embry has been in Beacon Hills for six weeks. She is completely unpacked, and feels all alone. Mostly because she locks herself in her room, crying, listening to music, or drawing. Sometimes she does all three at the same time. (Honestly same tho)
"Embry?" A knock sounds at her door, "Embry, I'm going to work. I'll see you tomorrow after school, okay?" It's Melissa. Embry sighs, heads to the door, and opens it.
"Okay," Embry's voice is shaky and scared. But, that's who she is, a shaky, scared, little girl.
"Okay, goodnight sweety, get some sleep," Melissa awkwardly pats her shoulder and leaves. Embry shuts her door and flops on her bed.
"Hey, Em, I'm going out. Don't tell mom," Scott calls outside her door. Embry doesn't reply, "Embry?" Scott hesitantly opens the door, "Hey? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Embry mumbles into her bedspread. Tears gather in the corner of Embry's eyes.
"Okay, well, you would tell me if something was wrong, right?" Scott steps in the room.
"Yeah, I would," Thats a lie, the only person she ever opened up to is gone. His promise ring still sitting on her finger.
"Okay, well, I'll see you in the morning," Scott nods and walks out. Embry sighs and rolls over, staring at the ceiling. Tears dripping out of the sides of her eyes. She absolutely hates Beacon Hills.

A scream erupts from Embry's room. It's 3:28 in the morning. Melessia is working the night shift. Scott isn't home. He was supposed to be back three hours ago. Embry thrashes around in her bed, pain in her chest. Embry pulls her arms to her chest, clawing at the pain.
"Please?! Please make it stop?!" She screams out, tears pouring from her closed eyes. Across town, something hears her. Something that shouldn't. Instead of doing the task it was given, it begins running. Stopping on her roof, just outside her window. Embry continues screaming and crying. Memories filling her dreams.
Outside her window, a pair of glowing snake-like eyes study her.

"Em! Embry!" Its her brother, Scott. Embry turns around to look at him. Her hands begins fidgeting.
"Yes?" Embry's voice is a bit high pitched. Ever since she moved her anxiety has gotten worse. Everything freaks her out now-a-days. She doesn't even know why.
"What class do you have next?"
"E-Con," Embry mumbles. Subconsciously, she begins to chew on her already red lip.
"Yeesh, e-con first thing in the morning. Sorry buddy," Scott places a hand on his sisters shoulder and looks back up, "Oh Stiles!" He runs off to his best friend.
"Hey! You in the skirt!" Turning towards the sound, Embry has no idea if their talking to her or not, "Yes you, come here." A girl with red hair points at the brunette. She is standing with a girl who looks a bit sad. Embry has seen them around, but hasn't approached them.
"Can I help you?" Embry asks as nicely as possible. Her heart racing.
"Where did you get that bag? It is literally the cutest thing in the world," The girl gushes.
"Oh, I bought it in some place in New York last year. My dad and I went for my birthday," Embry explains while looking at the bag. It was a black, fuzzy, Steve Madden bag. Embry added some pins and a little wolf keychain.
"I like the wolf, it's cute," The girl glances at the girl next to her.
"Thanks, my old boyfriend bought it for me," Embry smiles at the thought of him. Charlie. A golden-brown haired, green eyed boy that went to her old school. He was her first real boyfriend. Her first love. Something in her heart squeezes.
"I'm Lydia by the way," Lydia finally introduces herself, "This is Allison, my best friend."
"I'm Embry, and I don't have a best friend," They all laugh and start walking towards Lydia's class.
"Well you do now," Lydia smiles.
"So, why decide to move to Beacon Hills?" Allison finally speaks.
"Um, I moved in with with my mom and brother. My dad was a dick," Embry giggles a bit.
"Brother? Who is he, I might know him," They all stop outside a classroom.
"Scott McCall? You may know him, I don't know," Embry shrugs.
"Scott?" Lydia and Allison share a look.
