"Kate wake up! Kailee is going to be here in an hour!" Ruby said as she jumped on my bed.
"Alright, alright I'm awake!" I said sitting up and rubbing my eyes.
"You don't have to come if you don't want to you can sleep -"
"Nah its ok anyways I promised Alex I'll see him there anyways" I smiled.
"Ok well chop chop its 11 sleepy head!" Ruby hummed as she left our room.
I groaned as I got up and had a hot shower to help wake up my sleepy muscles. I just chucked on some shorts and a nice grey off the shoulder top that Nat had bought for me at forever 21.
"Morning" I said to Nat as I hugged her and sat at the kitchen counter.
"Good morning, how'd you sleep?"
"Fine" I replied as I watched her pour me a bowl of cereal.
"You ok?"
"Yeah it just I don't really feel like going today, its all their ever gonna talk about" I said rubbing my temples.
"You don't have to, I could drop you off at the other end of the mall or something where you can shop..."
"Ah its fine" I said waving it off and eating my cereal "Besides I told a friend I'd meet them there so its not like I'm going to the concert or anything...I hope..." I giggled
"Ok well call me if you need anything"
"Thanks" I replied. Once I put my dish was in the dishwasher I walked back to my room to take my phone off charge.
Once I got it I couldn't help but look at my bed. I hoped the letter and bracelet was still there. I looked under my bed and luckily it was. I looked around for Ruby and heard her chatting to her mum. I closed the door and grabbed the letter. I know I should wait until Ruby and Nat weren't here but that could be months away until they trust me to be left home alone. I traced my fingers around my perfectly written name. Should I open it?...Alrig-
"Kate you in there?" Ruby knocked.
My heart literally popped out of my chest as I tucked the letter in my pocket. "Yeah" I covered up.
"She's here you ready?!" Ruby squealed as she barged in and grabbed my wrist.
"Yeah um just let me get my-"
"No time, let's go!" Ruby squealed.
"I- Uh...Ok" I sighed.
"Hey Sam, thanks for driving us" Ruby said as she slid into the car. Sam? Maybe that was Kailee's mum's name?
"Hey girls how are we?"
"Great, Sam this is Kate, she's a transfer student from Australia" Ruby explained.
"Hello" I replied sweetly.
"Hello sweetie, how are you?"
"I'm good" I answered as I put my seat belt on. I was sitting next to Ruby and Cindy in the back whilst Kailee was in the front.
"So Kate...how long are you staying for?" Sam asked looking through her rear view mirror.
"A year..." I trailed off. I was beginning to remember how much I missed my friends and family. I wonder how they were going...I really should Skype them.
"Wow so I guess we will be seeing a lot of you"
"Yeah I guess" I shrugged and smiled.
"So are you a Cody fan or did you get dragged along with these girls" Sam said referring to Kailee, Ruby and Cindy.
