He protects you from the crows

The first day of school. Everything would be different, right?

Maybe this would be the year you would finally confess your feelings for your best friend Stiles. The supernatural world was at peace, at least until a deer ran into Lydia's car and your dog bit your arm.

You had high hopes for the upcoming school year as you placed yourself beside Stiles and the window.

"Hey Y/N, you know we have a new teacher this year?" Stiles asked as you sat down and pulled your shirt down to cover your bite mark.

"Yeah I think her name is-," You were cut off by the sound of phone notifications. Everyone pulled theirs out and read the exact message on the screen

"The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness. This is the last line of the first book we are going to read," A tall, black haired 30-something woman strutted into the room, her black heels making some of the boys drool.

"It is also the last text you will receive in my class. Phones off everyone," She smiled and everyone put their phones away. Something about your new teacher you didn't like.

Ms. Black handed out our books and first assignment of the school year. Great, it's the first day of school and I already have to read all this, you thought to yourself.

"Mr. McCall," She called out and dragged Scott into the hallway. With every minute you could feel the bad vibes surrounding the teacher.

As you watched her talk to Scott intensively in the hallway, Stiles glanced over to the bandage on your arm.

"Y/N, what happened?" He asked pointing to your band-aid concerned. "Oh-uh my dog bit me," You pulled your sleeve down again.

"Has it ever bitten you before?" You shook your head. "What if it's like the deer thing? Like how all animals act out before an earthquake or something," He said using his spastic hand gestures.

"Stiles I love you for being so concerned but seriously, try to focus on school. Things have just started t-," Suddenly a crow flew into the glass window causing you to practically jump out of your seat.

"Are you okay?" Stiles reached out his hand towards you. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. But look," You said pointing to the huge flock of crows flying towards the school.

One crow after the other started to splat against the windows leaving marks of blood.

"Get down! Everyone get down!" You heard Ms. Black yell to the class but all you could do was stare at the scene of breaking glass.

Your body froze at the sight. Your mind started spinning into thinking that this was sign. Something bad was coming and that's what scared you the most.

"Y/N!" Stiles shouted at you and pulled you down to the floor. He covered your petrified body and shielded you from the glass and crows.

You clutched onto his flannel and started crying. You knew this meant something bad was coming.

When the class finally fell silent, Stiles unwrapped himself from you but still held on to your frozen body.

You looked up at the boy with dried tears and gasped at his scratched and bloody face.

"Stiles," You whispered clutching his face with your hands, examining his scratches. "Hey I'm okay. It'll all be okay."

You didn't know what came over you. Maybe it was out of desperation, but you collided your lips with Stiles's. You couldn't hold it back any longer.

"W-Why'd you do that?"

"It's what the girl does when the hero saves her."
