He confesses why he's so overprotective of you

Stiles waited for you anxiously in the school parking lot. He would always drive you home from school since you didn't have a car.

He tapped the steering wheel rapidly with his fingers as he glanced throughout the parking lot and spotting you with Nolan.

He saw you start laughing at something he said and his cheeks grew hot and red in anger.

You were only talking to him because he was new and seemed sweet. He also randomly knew your name and called it out in the middle of the lot.

You said goodbye and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear as you turned away. Stiles knew you only did that when you were flustered, which made him grow more furious.

"Hey!" You chirped hopping into the passenger's seat and setting down your backpack. Stiles just sat in silence.

"Hey, what's up?" You asked noticing his moody expression. "Why were you talking to him," He said motioning his head over to Nolan.

"He was just asking for the Calculus notes from today. It's no biggie, relax," You said defensively. "I don't like him, you need to stay away from him," He said still staring at the boy across the parking lot.

"Stiles you get a bad feeling about everyone new in town. For once can you not be so stubborn?" You said half-annoyed.

"It's my right to look out for the people I care about, alright?" He spat, still avoiding eye contact with you. "Well can you not 'look out' just this one time. I might actually like this guy and you're trying to ruin it for me!" You huffed angrily.

"I'm not ruining anything, I'm trying to protect you!" He bursted finally turning towards you. "You don't need to protect me Stiles, I'm not your girlfriend!" You erupted.

Suddenly the car fell silent as Stiles turned away form you and looked down at his lap.

"You're right. You're not. But that doesn't mean I haven't been in love with you all this time. That doesn't mean that it doesn't kill me to see you with another guy. And that doesn't mean that I won't ever stop caring about you and protecting you," His baby brown eyes glanced up at your shocked expression.

"It's fine. I know you don't fe-," You cut him off by crashing your lips with his and it felt like an explosion occurred.

"Better late than ever, Stilinski."
