You get stuck in the Maze together

"No," You cry out, placing your hand on the closed cement doors. You and Thomas had been running all day and lost track of time, the closed had already closed by the time you reached them.

"No, no, no! This can't be happening. The sun hasn't even gone down yet. We-We were only-," Thomas stopped your rambling and turned you around to face him.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. I'm gonna get us out of here alive," He reassures you, but both of you knew that was a very slim chance.

"Come on, we need to get moving," He said taking your hand, hearing a griever's shriek in the distance.

You both ran for about twenty minutes and with every minute your mind wandered to the one inevitable possibility, you and Thomas were going to die.

"Did you hear that?" Thomas asked frantically looking around. You both stayed quiet, but suddenly you heard the mechanical footsteps of a geiger approaching.

"Thomas!" You grabbed his hand wide-eyed. "Sshh, it's okay. This way," He whispered and lead you to an ivy wall. He quickly pulled you into the ivy, covering you both.

Your chests were pushed together and you could feel each other's breath as the griever got closer and closer.

Your body began to shake violently and you closed your eyes, tears threatening to escape.

"Y/N you're shaking" Thomas whispered cupping your cheeks. You heard the griever shriek from just around the corner. "I can't do this," You said looking into Thomas's eyes.

"Y/N, yes you can. Stay quietly for a little longer," He whispered as his hands rested on your tear-stained cheeks.

The Maze stood quiet for a few seconds, but you still kept your eyes shut. Thomas kept his eyes fixed on you, trying to calm your shaking body.

Suddenly, the griever slammed its claws on the cement floor and growled. You gasped involuntarily and Thomas quickly smashed his lips against yours, making you quiet.

The sounds of the griever drowned out as you focused on Thomas's lips. They were soft and warm and it felt like you had been waiting to taste them for years.

It grew quiet again and you released yourself from the boy.

"I think it's safe," He whispered, his eyes flickering between your lips and your eyes. "Y-Yeah," You nodded as Thomas helped you out of the ivy.

Once you both made sure it was clear, you turned back towards each other and collided your lips again. You wrapped your hands around his neck and he kept one hand on your waist and one of your cheek.

"This is probably the worst timing in the world, but I love you Y/N," Thomas said breaking the kiss. "Took you long enough. Let's get out of here," You laughed and grabbed his hand.
