Rain's pov
The sound of the door opening fills my ears, but my eyes still remain closed. My back aches from where I had been laying on the couch, my neck starting to hurt as well. I know Hoseok said that he was going to see me tomorrow, but I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about what he could have been doing at work, my mind not letting me rest.
He can't be cheating on me. I don't think Hoseok would do that to anyone at all. I did cheat on him, so I would definitely deserve it, but Hoseok doesn't have the heart to do anything like that. I don't think that he had extra work though. Hoseok always gets his work done the night before its due. If he really did get extra work due to his promotion, it wouldn't take him that long to complete it. I guess I'll just wait for him to come clean and tell me the truth.
Footsteps echo through my groggy mind as I stir, my head turning towards the door. A sleepy smile spreads across my face when I see Hoseok walk into the room, his eyes wide when he sees me.
"What are you doing there Jagi? You should be asleep already."
I let him pick me up bridal style from my position on the couch, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. His scent calms me down, the familiarity of it making me tired already.
"I was waiting for you" I reply lowly, feeling the vibrations from his chest as he chuckles quietly. The sheets of my bed are soft against my skin, my head gently hitting the pillow. I whine when he lets go of me, reaching my hands out towards him like a little kid as I make grabbing motions. I can't help it though. I have the best sleep when I am cuddling someone.
"Wait for me to get changed" he says as he smiles at my childish behavior, lifting his shirt over his head. I bring my blankets so that they are up to my chin as he changes into some of the pajamas that he keeps at my place, trying hard to stay awake.
The bed dips beside me, signaling that he finally finished getting ready. I turn so that I am facing him, practically forcing one of my legs in between his while the other rest on top of his calfs. He laughs before putting his arms around my body, pulling me fully against his firm chest.
I can finally relax as I rest my head in the crook of his neck on my pillow, listening to the sound of his heartbeat. He must have been tired because I can hearts soft snores a couple of minutes after we settle down. I smile to myself and pull away slightly to look at his peaceful face, his breath fanning across my cheek.
I raise my hand and move his hair off of his forehead, just admiring his beauty. He doesn't move at all, seemingly unaffected by my touch at the moment. I can't believe how lucky I am to have met a man like Hoseok. I may not love him yet, but his presence has helped me so much. He slightly makes me forget about the pain I had felt before. He slightly helps me forget about Taehyung.
