Chapter Eight: The Wilds

Serenity wiped of the pit from her face and threw her towards the ground.
"Well it's cute the little weapons you guys have but let me show something that can actually hurt. Boys!"
After she sent up her hand's tons of people came out of the buildings holding guns. I looked at everyone and gesture them to keep their weapons up.
"Wow, you little kids must not be all that smart keeping your weapons up."
"Funny thing is I know you guys all have guns but the questions are, do you have any ammo?"
"So Lee was it, that was pretty clever to figure that out."
She pulls out a handgun from her jacket and placed it on my temple.
"So Lee wants to play these changes?"
I step up and grab her gun and placed it harder against my head. Thinking please don't let me please don't let me die.
"You know what I do want to try those chances, Serenity let's see which of our gamble's pay off."
If I'm right she either has no ammo because she probably wasted it on the soulless in the surrounding area, or she doesn't have it in her to kill a living human begin. I looked into her eyes and you could see her internal struggle in her soul.
"So do you think you could look me in the eyes and watch the life drain from them."
"I totally could if I wanted to I would not lose any sleep."
"No, but you will lose a piece of your soul are you ready for that."
"You can't lose a piece of something that you no longer have."
It seemed that her struggle was over and the decision was made.
"You know what I was always curious how people react when they're about to die. You show tons of fake confidence to hide the scared little kid inside."
Whoosh, Ahhhhhhhhhhh
"What in the world!"
Drip, drip, drip, drop *cough* splatter.
I turn around to see that Dominic had just released an arrow and found it in Serenity's stomach.
"Dominic what the heck did you do!"
"What I needed to do so we could live another day."
The means we had to resort to killing now. I believe one of the few things that made us human have been stripped from us.
Michelle grabs the net and threw it off of us "Well it seems like her minions left after that, so...... Let's grab the bikes and start riding off the island."
So we broke into the store and started looking around for any bike that we could use and we found some and Dom went to grab his when a soulless jumped up and bit his arm.
BANG, BANG, BANG!! 
Yeah, of course, Michelle shot the soulless I'm just tired of all this stuff.
"Guys can we just sleep here tonight I'm too tired to do this anymore."
Grace crept into the conversation "Yeah I think we should do that this day has been all so overwhelming." We settled down on the floor and fell into sleep, while we were all alternating turns overwatch. I volunteered the first shift I needed to think my thoughts while everyone was sleeping.
"Goodnight everyone wakes you up Dom when it's your turn."
Why have we resort to killing was that really worth it. Did we have to kill Serenity I'm pretty sure she didn't have it in her to kill me? I should be thanking Dominic though for saving my life, possibly. Then life is just so crazy and too chaotic, I believe instead feeling lost in the chaos sometimes I should contribute to it, and cause some entropy.
"Dominic wakes up it's your turn."
"Okay get some sleep, Lee."
I laid down and fell to sleep, it was hard because of all the thoughts running through my mind. I'm just so exhausted and need sleep, precious sleep. Good night chaos, hello silence.
