It had been three months since Astro returned to the future. During those three months, you hadn't smiled a genuine smile once. You sat by Robbie's side at the hospital, chatting to him with a fake smile on your face while cutting up an apple for him.

"So, how's school going for ya kiddo?" Robbie questioned as he took a piece of apple and plopped it into his mouth. You smiled at him.

"Fine. We're just doing the same old stuff." Robbie nodded. He then sighed and put the plate of apple pieces down.

"Kiddo, what's wrong?" You gave Robbie a confused look.

"What do you mean?" Robbie shook his head.

"Don't give me that. I've known you for around eight years. That smile that you're wearing right now, it's fake. What's wrong?" You looked to the side, and stood up.

"Nothing's wrong. I have to go now, it's getting late. See you tomorrow!" You waved as you ran out of the hospital room. Robbie watched you with a sad look. He then sighed. 'Please don't blame that boy.' Robbie thought.

You opened the door to your home and were immediately met with your mother's frown. Your mother and father had found out about Robbie and your dream to become a scientist right after the attack.

"Were you at the hospital AGAIN?" Your mother questioned. You had your eyes down cast as you nodded. Your mother sighed. "Listen Y/N, I know that man means a lot to you, but you can't just shut everyone out. We worry about you." Your mother told. You sighed, and pushed passed her. Your mother frowned. "Don't ignore me young lady!" You felt your mother's hand on your shoulder. "You should forget about that dream about becoming a scientist. Become a lawyer instead! You'll get good pay, and it won't be as dangerous. You becoming a scientist is just..."

"Ridiculous." Your father finished off for her as he walked into the room. "You becoming a scientist. It's just ridiculous. We already have enough scientists, I refuse to have my daughter as someone who relies on technology." You gritted your teeth, and slapped your mother's hand away. You then glared at your father.

"You don't understand Dad! I can do what I want! And I want to become a SCIENTIST!" You cried. You then ran up to your room. Your mother reached out to you.

"Y/N! Get back here!" Your father rested his hand on your mother's shoulder, and shook his head.

"Leave her be. She needs some time to cool off." Your mother sighed, and nodded.

You laid in your room, sobbing. You hated this. It was all HIS fault. You despised the boy who came from the future. You had wished that you had never found him. If only he didn't exist. Your eyes widened. Why were you thinking such awful things? He had tried to save you both. It's not his fault. You gripped your head in pain. Your mind was currently at war with itself. You then glanced out the window. What if they came back? That man. If he came back, then the past would be doomed. A thought then hit you. What did he want from the past? What was his goal? You sighed, and leaned on the back of your bed. So many questions were being asked, but none of them were being answered. You looked down into your hands. There must have been something that they wanted. You clenched your fists and nodded in determination. You then stood up, and opened your window. You grabbed some things and put them by the window. You then slowly made your way into the kitchen, and took some food. You then rushed up back to your room and put three apples, three bottles of water, a sandwich, two bananas, and some pasta into your bag. You then swung your bag onto your back, and jumped out the window.

You landed on the ground, and looked behind you. It was that same house. The house that you had grown up in. You felt bad for leaving, but you had to do what you had to do. You grabbed your bike, and peddled to Robbie's workshop.

When you got there, everything had been left untouched. You walked inside, and shut the doors and locked them. You then turned on the light and put your bag down. You then made your way towards the white board that Robbie and Astro were working on previously and examined it. You raised your eyebrow. What were they trying to calculate? You frowned. You then took out your note book and pencil, and wrote down the contents that were on the whiteboard into your notebook. You then examined the contents on the whiteboard more carefully. After staring at the whiteboard for who knows how long, your eyes widened. One of the equations was wrong! You rewrote the equation and fiddled with the answers. Let's just say that it was a long night for you.

You had been cooped up in that shed for three days, rewriting equation after equation. You then heard keys jangling into a lock and heard the doors open. Your head whipped around to see Robbie walking with a cane in his hand. Robbie smiled, and walked over to you.

"I thought that I'd find you here. What are ya doing there kiddo?" Robbie questioned as he made his way over to you. You smiled, and ran over to him.

"Robbie! You're okay!" You exclaimed as you hugged the old man. Robbie chuckled, and patted your head.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was supposed to be discharged tomorrow, but when I had heard that you had gone missing I freaked out! You're worrying everyone kiddo." You looked down in shame. You then smiled at Robbie.

"Robbie, look at this! I was looking at what you wrote on that whiteboard and realised that you made a mistake!" Robbie raised his eyebrow.

"What are you talking about kiddo?" You giggled, and dragged the old man towards the whiteboard.

"Come on, I'll show you!" You exclaimed. Robbie laughed as he allowed you to drag him towards the whiteboard. He then looked up and his eyes widened.

"Kiddo... this is..." Robbie walked up to the whiteboard and examined the finished equations. He then looked to you with wide eyes. "How...? This is... amazing! Your theories, they make sense! Wow kid, I would have never thought that you would come up with this!" Robbie then made his way towards the bench. "We were wrong, we were so set on trying to find a way back to the future that we ended up messing up our equations. But this, you have just made a great discovery! It'll take a while, but I reckon that you could create something amazing!" You gave Robbie a confused look.

"Uh, exactly what are you talking about?" You questioned. Robbie turned to you.

"Listen kiddo, I'm gonna show you how to make inventions. You know, how to apply equations to em. So, get ready kid for I am gonna make a scientist outta ya."
