A minor set back

You stared at the almost completed version of the OLP X. You smiled as you admired your handy work.

"Miss L/N? When would you like to employ the final facilities?" You turned around to see the second in command of your project, Lois Armstrong.

"Ah, Dr Armstrong. We'll employ the final facilities in the early afternoon tomorrow. I still have some of the programs to finish. I'll be heading back to my office. I might end up staying late though so you can all head home now if you like." You told. Dr Armstrong nodded and walked off. You sighed and left the room and walked towards your office. You walked into your office and sat down at your desk where your computer sat. You then opened up the programs file in your computer and typed some codes in. There was a lot to do.

Astro walked home with his friends and chatted to them about the normal school life. Ajeero laughed and looked at Astro.

"So, knowing you I'm guessing that you've already completed the assignment right?" Ajeero questioned. Astro grinned and nodded.

"Of course! It's better to just do it rather than leave things to the last minute." Astro told. He then glanced at Abercrombie with a knowing look. Abercrombie noticed his look and huffed and crossed his arms.

"Oh come on, I get it done either way." Abercrombie huffed. Astro chuckled while shaking his head.

"Yeah, but you barely pass." Kennedy piped up. Abercrombie frowned at Kennedy. He then looked back at Astro.

"Hey, aren't you going to go see Y/N today?" Abercrombie questioned. Astro shook his head.

"I wish I could but she's been really busy. Actually, I haven't seen much of her." Astro stated dejectedly. Ajeero patted his back. Astro then looked up. "I make a turn this way. See you guys tomorrow!" Abercrombie, Ajeero and Kennedy waved goodbye to Astro as he flew up into the air and flew towards his house.

You let out a tired sigh as you worked on the programs. You then got up and stretched your stiff limbs.

"I think I might get a coffee, I still have a lot more work ahead of me." You told yourself as you walked out of the room. You walked towards the coffee machine and ordered one. You smiled as the coffee poured into the cup, the scent of coffee beans whiffing through the air and into your nose. Just as you were about to take the cup of coffee the siren alarms had gone off. You gasped and rushed towards the engine room where the OLP X sat. You then opened the doors and your eyes widened when you saw a group of men surrounding the OLP X. Your eyes then narrowed at the man wearing a hat and trench coat. "Skunk." Skunk turned towards you and grinned. A smoke bomb then exploded, blinding you. You cried out in surprise and searched frantically for the security button. Once you found it you pressed it just as the robot guards came. You then heard the roof windows smash as a group of robots from the police force slid in. Skunk smirked and patted the machine and it was lifted into the air. You growled and jumped up on Skunk. "I won't let you!" You shouted as you kicked him off. A few robots then jumped onto the machine and cut the wires holding it. The machine crashed down along with you. You jumped off before the machine could crush you and stood back as the smoke cleared. You then saw that Skunk had somehow gotten on the helicopter and flew away.

"Just you wait, we'll get that machine." Skunk told before escaping. You frowned. Police inspector Tawashi rushed to your side and helped you up. You thanked him and looked back at the damage done to the OLP X. Your fists shook in anger. How dare those thugs do this! Tawashi noticed your anger and rested his hand on your shoulder.

"Don't worry Y/N, we'll have those thugs put behind bars soon enough!" You nodded at his words. You then sighed and rubbed your temples.

"This is the THIRD attack! We need to increase security!" You told as you walked towards the machine and rested your hand on it. You shook your head. "If a bunch of thugs can get in here then what are our chances of defence if someone like Dr Mini mini came here? I'm increasing security to the point that no one without the proper authorisation is allowed to enter." Tawashi nodded.

"Understood." You nodded then walked out of the room. You made your way back towards you office. It looks like more sleepless nights lay ahead before you. You sat down at your desk and continued to work on the programs.

The next morning, Astro rushed towards the ministry of science. He rushed into Dr Oshay's office.

"Dr Oshay! I heard that there was an attack last night. Is everything okay?" Astro questioned. Dr Oshay looked up from his work and nodded.

"Yes, although the machine's release date has been delayed to next week. I fear though for Y/N. She's been very stressed lately because of the project, and now this. Astro, would you mind taking time off school to help with the restoration of the OLP X?" Dr Oshay requested. Astro nodded.

"Of course! Where's Y/N anyway?" Astro questioned as he looked around the room for you.

"Y/N should be in her office. She's been shut in there since yesterday." Astro's eyes widened. He then frowned.

"But, that's not good for her health! She should really take good care of herself. I'll go find her and help her if she needs it." Astro informed Dr Oshay then left.

You had your head rested in your arms just as you finished the programming. You then heard the doors open and you looked up to see Astro walk in. He smiled at you and walked up to you.

"Good morning Y/N, how are you feeling?" Astro questioned as he rubbed your back. You groaned.

"Well, considering that we have to repair the OLP X and all, just great." You then sighed as you sat up. "Although, my shoulders are really killing me here." You admitted as you rolled your shoulders around. Astro smiled and started to massage your shoulders. You hummed in pleasure as he untied the knots in your muscles.

"I'll be helping you with the project. It's the least I could do." You smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, I could really use your help right now. I've just finished the programs so those will need to be installed into the machine. Once it's fixed." Astro nodded. He then stopped rubbing your shoulders as you stood up. You then turned towards him. "Come on, let's go and see how the damage repairs are coming along." Astro nodded and followed you into the engine room. Astro looked up at the machine and cringed at the damage done to it. He then started to chuckle nervously.

"Hey, at least it couldn't get any worse!" Not a moment later did a piece fall off the machine. Astro winced at the noise it made and chuckled nervously as you gave him a look. Astro then waved his hands around. "D-don't worry! I'll fix that right away!" Astro then rushed towards the machine and got started on the repairs. You shook your head while smiling slightly. This was definitely going to be a long process.
