☞ quote of the day ☜
I never consider myself
Broken.
Just a person who's been through
A lot of shit and didn't
Expect to survive.- a.fellow

"Luke?"

We opened the door to my nostalgic apartment, the ceilings echoing with each foot step we took inside.
I plop down the 10 bags of decor that I purchased, along with the 30 boxes of things that I had ordered placed next to it.
"The sunlight In here is so perfect." Hayden said as Hayley pulled up the thin white curtains.
"Is have to agree with you." Hayley added.
I start opening the loads of boxes scattered around the floors and chairs.
"Can I help?" Hayden asks setting down his phone and other items.
"Yeah of course, there's tons of boxes to go around." I say scoffing at the amount of work that needed to happen here.
He only giggles as Hayley and him start taking the items one by one out of the boxes.
"Hayley can you find the remote?" I asked as she grabbed it and turned on the flatscreen plastered across the wall.
As the news comes on to show tons of commotion going on, I decide to turn it as the news has always given me trouble since past events with my family and Caleb.
I go back to taking out bedding, blankets, pillows, pictures, food, nick nacks, light fixtures and clothes, basically the whole nine yards.
2 hours pass of us listening to music, laughing, talking, decorating and having fun before we had everything out of boxes.
We began putting our own rooms together and even the living room.
Decor was in every nook and cranny just like I like it, natural tones leave the room looking bright and clean.
"This looks better than my apartment." Hayden exclaims while standing back taking in the full view of it all.
"I mean I guess I'll take that as a compliment." I say giggling.
The things scattered along the floor slowly fade into different organised areas around the room.
The sun leaves a glow into the room making is shimmer and look cozy.
I turn to look at the clock we hung on the wall, seeing it's the perfect time.
5:54 PM, it read as I felt the urge to eat.
"It's looking amazing in here!" I exclaim as I tidy up the couch pillows and blankets.
"Yes, yes it does." Hayden says with a relief filled sigh while he flops down in a chair.
"Thank you so much for your help." I say taking the seat next to him on the couch, taking in the full view of how much work we accomplished in such short time.
Thankful, is one word to describe it.
We sat and chatted for a short while, taking in the view of the sun going down.
"I'm starving!" Hayley pleaded.
"Uh me too." Hayden said raising his hand as if he was in a class room.
