Lie Awake

Imagine you were born into a world where nothing mattered.
Where nothing could fail, nothing could fall, nothing could shatter.
You'd never come into an obstacle in which you would stumble.
As there is nothing extending your reach and you are forever humble.
There's no demon that can exist, fear would be insignificant
You'd never have run into confusiin or something that you regret.
Something that you want to forget but you can't battle
Something that you know is legit and you can't fathom
There wouldn't be a desire to fill a lust or a passion
The things that make you question the world would be no distraction
And things that make you question yourself would just lie stagnant
You'd never walk into hatred or learn to bury frustration,
The walk ahead would be full of nothing but greyness.
No encouragement, no objects of hope, nothing to be taken,
Just an aisle, no light, no dark, and no forsaken.
