Thorin P.O.V

Last night was the first night that Myra had allowed me in her bed. I was being soothed by having her near me. She was sleeping peacefully on my chest. It seemed like last nights warning was in the past. I was happy that she was finally resting well. For the past few days, she had stayed in her room. When I did see her, she had heavy bags under her eyes. Her drastic change in appearance worried me. With the pregnancy, her health was of the utmost importance. I enjoyed twirling her hair as I watched her content face.

"Mmm, I love doing the same to you. We're too similar." She joked as she yawned awake

"You've caught me. Oh, so that's what you do in the morning." I teased which made her laugh heartily

"I love your laugh. I'm glad to hear you so happy. I was worried that I had been making you miserable." I admitted

"Hey, you could never make me sad. Maybe a little annoyed but never depressed. If I hadn't met you, I would have spent my entire life wandering alone. Now, I have something to look forward to every day." She answered. I gave her an adoring smile before giving her a quick kiss and wrapping her in a hug.

With her pinned, I started tickling her exposed sides. She began to giggling and trying to squirm away from me. However, I had her pinned so she could only rock side-to-side. I only stopped once she was breathless. I gave her a small kiss on her head before laying next to her and rubbing her belly.

"Can we really be parents?" She asked as fear came over her face

"Why wouldn't we?" I asked as I made smaller circles

"Neither of us had our parents around for very long or the easiest upbringings. Our parents didn't have a chance to prepare us. They didn't even get to see their grandchild." Myra realised as tears started to form

"Please don't cry. This is the best gift that you could give me. I'm nervous too. We're going into uncharted territory. Place us in the middle of a fight or give us an impossible task, we can easily do that. We have our family and even Gandalf to help us along the way. The only thing we have to worry about is my sister spoiling the little one." I replied which made her smile again

"What would I do without you?" She jested

"mm, wandering with two left feet." I answered as I straddled her

"Cocky dwarf." She teased while looping her arms around my neck

"Yes but you love it." I reminded her before starting round 2

Bilbo P.O.V

All of us slept uneasy last night. Thorin was spiraling further into madness. Somehow, Myra was keeping him from plummeting. However, it was inevitable if we remained here. We kept trying to come up with solutions. However, we didn't have any good ideas. for now, we would follow him and try to drag him out as a last resort.

Thorin and Myra didn't come out till later in the day. They looked much happier which brightened everyone's day. Myra actually accompanied him to the inner vaults. He had the rest of us come with him too. The room was overflowing with an assortment of gems. One pile caught her attention immediately. Thorin grinned wide and gave a sarcastic comment before moving on.

"Myra, you look like you've seen a ghost." I said as I stood beside her

"I suppose I have. I have not seen this necklace in a long time. They belonged to my aunt, Legolas's mother, as an anniversary gift. It was the last present she received before she was killed in battle. Thranduil had it stored here for safekeeping due to the war. It's the only thing that he has of her." She explained to me
