Bilbo P.O.V
Myra used her ring to conceal us as we moved through the city. She kept me close as we weaved through the chaos. We were careful to not bump into people. As we ran through the city, I saw everyone in a new way. The elves seemed to be emitting an invisible bright light while the orcs were shadows. Myra was the brightest person on the field; enough that it was blinding to look at her for very long. We eventually made it to the hill just as Thorin and Dwalin finished killing some Goblins.
"Thorin!" I yelled as we both panted
"Bilbo!" Thorin happily replied before running to Myra.
He began to profusely apologise for his actions lately and utter ignorance. Myra quickly silenced him by drawing him into a long kiss. She affectionately touched foreheads as she told him that he was already forgiven. They enjoyed their small moment before she warned him about the second army.
"We are so close. That orc scum is in there. I say we push on." Dwalin proposed before Thorin stopped him
"No! That's what he wants. He wants to draw us in. This is a trap." Thorin quickly realised as he and Dwalin looked fearful
"Who did you send in there?" Myra nervously asked
"Kili and Fili." He answered before turning to Dwalin. "Find them and call them back. Do it. We live to fight another day." Thorin ordered. However, we all stopped once the tower began to light up.
Azog appeared at the top of the tower with Fili in his grasp. He was giving some speech as everyone nervously looked on. Myra began muttering quickly in elvish as she locked her gaze onto Fili. She briefly closed her eyes as she continued chanting. I felt a tingling sensation as a strange mark appeared on my left hand. Azog held him over the edge as he shouted for us to run. Right before our eyes, Azog stabbed him from behind through his chest, killing him instantly.
Myra had finished her spell moments before screaming in agony. The ground began to quake a bit as monstrous vines reached for Azog. We all looked in fear as Myra had a dark shadow cast over her. The vines began to grab orcs and stab them in their chests, even ripping their heads off. Azog looked terrified as he tried to scurry away. Myra stretched her hand out to him, stopping him. With a smirk, she thrashed him against the sides of the tower before violently flinging him backward. In a puff of black smoke, she vanished, most likely for Azog. Thorin naturally ran after her as Kili also went to avenge his brother. Dwalin went to chase after him but came back in time to save me from orcs. I helped by throwing rocks at them until I was knocked out.
Thorin P.O.V
Azog had murdered Fili right in front of me. No doubt as bait and to slowly kill off my entire people. I had never seen Myra so angry before when Fili died. It was like she had unleashed a dark power from within herself. Her vines were black and filled with thorns. She wiped out Azogs bodyguards easily before throwing him back into the tower. With that same dark power, she vanished without a word. I had to run after her. I would never let Azog lay a hand on her. I knew secretly that he wanted her most of all.
I caught up with them as I headed to the very back of the tower. She was countering every strike he made with her daggers. She always used one of her daggers as a shield while pivoting. He tried to trap her against a wall but she pushed back. She dipped below to slice his legs, aiming for an artery. He was about to hit her when I jumped in. I blocked his mace and kept myself between them. We fought through every inch of the tower until we were slowly being led back to the lake.
He had us surrounded by his lackey's. We kept close to each other as we fought them off. Luckily we had some archery support which made it easier. The only elf I knew who would try to save me was Legolas. I reminded myself to thank him later. However, we got separated a bit. Azog sent in more soldiers which eventually overwhelmed us without Legolas's help. One of his lackeys knocked me to the ground, causing me to lose my sword. Myra was too far away to help and was busy fighting off 4 soldiers. I managed to throw one over the ledge when another took his place. He began to stalk me before my sword was thrown straight at his chest. I quickly grabbed it before the creature fell. As it fell, I noticed that Legolas was below me. I gave him a quick nod before rejoining Myra, who was finally free.
Now it was just the three of us. Azog didn't have anyone else to call on for now. I held Myra's hand as we both walked towards Azog. We let go of each other as we got closer. We constantly had to duck as Azog tried to knock us down with a huge boulder. Every time he missed, he hit the ice, causing it to crack. We also had to worry about our feet to avoid falling through. We stayed on the defensive as we looked for openings. I stayed in his sight while Myra stayed behind him. The tactic was working well as we were slowly wearing him down. He was getting extremely frustrated since he couldn't grab either of us.
Eventually, he cracked it so much that we were standing on an island. Myra was forced to get next to me which was extremely dangerous. I pushed her behind me towards the intact pieces of ice. As I did so, Azog was able to sweep my legs. I rolled around to avoid getting hit. Vines appeared to keep his boulder wedged in the ice. As he frantically tugged on his chain, the Eagles arrived to help turn the tide. They began to pick off the Gundabad forces which angered and distracted him. Myra stopped the vines, allowing me to pick up the boulder and throw it at him. I gave a smirk before jumping off and standing beside her. The extra weight caused Azog to lose his balance and fall backward into the icy water. I watched him float underneath the icy in the freezing cold water. I watched his face to see him take his last breath, as Myra cautiously followed behind me.
It was all a trick as Azog stabbed my foot and sprung up from beneath the ice. I was stuck in place as he loomed over me. Myra once again came to my defense. She acted as a shield, fighting off Azog with her daggers and vines. She kept him away from me for a good while until he stabbed her. I screamed in panic as he threw her harshly aside. I held her and felt relieved when her wound was a knick on her side. She was only unconscious and was unharmed. I still charged at him for harming her.
In my rage, he was able to throw me over his shoulder and onto the ground. He quickly got on top of me and tried to drive his sword through my chest. I stopped him by catching the gap in his swords with mine. He was precariously pointed at my stomach. The only way to kill him was to let him stab me. I looked at Myra one last time to say: I love you. I'll never leave you, before removing my sword. Azog pieced my upper stomach and grinned. Despite the pain, I stabbed him in the chest, which shocked him. I rolled over to drive the sword deeper into his chest and say one last goodbye.
"The line of Durin will endure. You have failed just as you did in Moradia. You can never destroy either of us. We will live on in our child. This is for my grandfather: Thror and father: Thrain..." I said before Myra also grabbed the sword.
"My father: Erthor and siblings: Faerveren and Glawarnith, you piece of filth." Myra growled before we twisted the blade together.
