THE AUDITIONS

@ Lime Grove Studios in Shepherd's Bush, London

-ELEANOR-

I was so eager to go out of Cheshire with Harry, I woke up 2 hours earlier than I was supposed to be. Right now, I'm approaching the maingate of the said studio with Harry sleeping at the passenger seat. I can't wear my smile off, because all my hard work's finally paying off.

"H, we're already here. Wake up" I nudged Harry, he squinted his eyes as he opened his eyes, it was a bright day.

"Do I really have to audition? Can I just come and sit beside you and criticize the auditioners? If that's a word, whatever" he grumpily said as he set his hair in a weird way. "Yes, you're up for that part Harry.Just please, you have a talent, and I know you can do this!" I enlightened him, he smile showing his dimples.

"Hi Ben, this is my friend Harry... Harry this is Ben Winston, one of the directors and the man over there is Morgan, the other director" I introduced them to each other. I gave Harry a tape with his name on it and instructed him to sit outside, with the other guys...

"I'm so excited!" I shrieked whilst sipping a cola drink. Ben just let out a light laugh while Morgan's still arranging something for the auditions. Morgan's assistant went inside and asked if we're ready to have an audition, both Ben and I nodded while Morgan's still busy with his thing.

"Yeah, let the first one in" Morgan uttered.

Second later, a guy who's a little younger than me came inside, with a bleached hair... "Hi my name's Niall Horan, I'm from Mullingar in Ireland, but I'm residing here in London, tryna chase my dream" he said enthusiastically... "So, Niall... you're Irish huh?" Ben interrogates. Well, duh? He's from Ireland. of course he's Irish. "Okay,so what are you gonna sing for us?" I asked, interrupting Ben with his thoughts.

"I'm going to sing year 3000 by busted..." he said before he sang... Well, he's good no doubt. He's quite handsome, too. "So...you're good. Can you act?" Morgan talks. "I guess I can... I mean, I was on a school play back in Ireland" he brags.

"Oh, Well.. Here's the script then." I handed it to him, he looks like a little kid slash a hot guy. I don't know he's cute and sexy at the same time, and he's the first one to audition there are tons of people waiting for their turn.

...

We've been watching almost 28 guys perform...And only 1/4 of it were too good to be in the movie. and not one of them is up for Elliot Clough, not even this guy... Leigh Huntington, he can act but he can't sing that much.

"You're choosy you know that?" Ben mocks. "I just want the right ones, right Morgan?" I nudged Morgan on my other side. It's already past 6, and Harry's waiting for me outside the office, and we still have to find a place to stay even just for tonight. Anyway, he did great at the audition, he even met this guy who's name was Louis and he's really funny he auditioned for the part of Elliot, but I think he's perfect for Troy Austin's part.

"How's your day Calder?" Harry asked while we're waiting for our turn at the drive thru at McDonald's. "Stressful, as usual. We haven't find the right guy for Elliot. We still have to see if we can get one tomorrow, ugh." I groaned, my head's pounding. But there's a good news... Apparently, modest management handles Little Mix. So there's a 99.9% chance that we can get Perrie Edwards for the part.

"Hey, we can sleept at Louis' flat, it's just near this restaurant... a chimney cake restaurant thingy. I'll call him and see if it's okay if we sleep there" Harry pulls out his phone before I can even talk. "No we don't need to sleep on a stranger's flat Harry! I mean, we can't sleep on it. It's weird, we can sleep at the hotel nearby if you don't mind" I muttered and he put his phone on his pockets again.

"Well. Let's just have a goodnight sleep. Oh, I still need to call mum and tell her that we're gonna sleep here... Good thing we brought extra clothes huh?" Harry jokes, I can't even laugh at him. Because of this stupid head ache, I didn't know how stressful these things can be. I studied it for four years. I never knew that when you're really there it'll be this stressful. and we're just here to find the casts, what more if we're starting to film the movie?

I wish I had thought this through. I never knew the pressure it gives, I'm not even the director... Or maybe I'm just overthinking things which are irrelevant?

As Harry talks about his own mother, how supportive Anne is with all this. I kind of envy him, his mother was nothing compared to mine and in a negative way. Yeah, sure she's supportive but not to me, not even to Aidan, just to the perfect Charlotte. "Hey, are you okay? Do you want me to drive?" Harry sure did noticed me zoning off. i just nodded, I might lose control at the car, might as well let Harry drive it.

"Uhm, El. I think you need to sleep early. You're exhausted and I don't know what else you're thinking right now, and I hope you'll share it to me so I know what to do with you... I mean, I don't want you to c--"

"Save it Harry, I'm okay. and you'll be by myside 24/7 so there's no need to worry, please let's not talk about it." I snapped at him. I faced the other side, so I can escape from his pity glances at me. I should be happy, I should be outside partying with a couple of chavs.

But no, I thought after I get an approval from a book publishing company, or in my case, a production something company, mum will be proud at me, like what she did to Charlotte when she got that marketing position... She didn't even bother to text me a goodluck message, not even a goodbye kiss before I went out of the house.

"El, please take your mind off negative things. I know you're thinking of something. But as soon as this casting thing's done... Your problem's done." he cheers me up. And before I knew it, I was heading to dreamland..
