Destiny ~ A One Direction Fanfic

CHAPTER 3

***LIAM'S P.O.V.***

When i got the call my heart skipped a beat. It was about Sofia Birch. My bestfriend since kindergarten. I'll never forget the day i met her. Her hair was in two braids and she was wearing a pink little dress with a flower at the top. She had silky brown hair that went all the way down her back and stopped just above her hip- bone. I have never really believed in love at first sight but when i think back to that day all i can think of is maybe it really was, love at first sight, that is. Once we met we hit it off right away and were bestfriends ever since. Right before I went onto X Factor she stopped talking to me. I texted her everyday like usual but she never replied. After about a month i stopped trying, i mean if she really wanted me like i wanted her she would have atleast replied, right? After One Direction got big i never heard from her again, until a week ago that is, but it wasn't even from her it was from a hospital in London, England. They told me about the incident right before I was about to go on stage for a concert, they said i was the only person listed as a friend in her records and since her mom and grandpa were dead and her dad probably wouldn't last more than a month they were wondering if i knew anywhere that she could go. I said that she could stay with the boys and I, not even thinking that she probably wouldn't want to because we haven't even talked for the past 2 years. After i hung up  I went into a backstage vocal room and started balling my eyes out. About a half an hour later Zayn came in and found me. Boy that was embarassing, he asked me what was wrong and i told him. It was strange because i have never really opened up to Zayn like that before and once i did i found it very hard to stop, he was just such a good listener. After that we went and did our concert, but the whole time i was on stage one question kept nagging at the back of my head.  Why would they call me instead of one of her friends? I mean I always knew she was shy but how could she not have any other friends? Once the concert was over i told the boys about Sof and asked them if it would be okay if she stayed with us. Of course being the nice lads they are they said yes and even volenteered to come with me to go and get Sof. Once we got to London we stayed in the hospital for about 4 days, luckily she woke up on the 4th, i was statring to get worried. Ever since we had gotten to London i hadn't taken my eyes off of her and when she finally woke up i was in her room all by myself. Niall insisted on getiing food and everyone else went too, leaving me alone. When she woke up she didn't notice me right away and i didnt want to scare her so i just stayed in the back corner. One she saw me i could tell she didn't know who i was at first and that right there just shattered my heart. Then she said my name and i felt a little bit better. I walked over to her bed slowly because i didn't want to frighten her. I noticed a little twinkle in her eye when she saw me and my heart picked up its beat. Did she have feelings for me? If she did then why has she been ignoring me these past years? Then she blinked and it was gone. It went as quickly as it came...
