*TIFFANY’S POV*
What was that annoying ringing noise? It was the middle of the night, for Christ’s sake. I groaned and pulled the covers over my head. Wait, covers? Where was I? I sat up, rubbing my eyes. The ringing finally stopped and I realized Harry was next to me, speaking on the phone rather groggily.
“Hello? Oh, hi. Yeah. Yeah. No, we figured it out. We’re going to call a lawyer or something, to help us get him legally. No, you’ll understand, I’ll tell you later,” he glanced at me, realizing I was awake.
“Who are you talking to?” I mouthed. He just shook his head.
“She’s awake now, I gotta go,” he paused. “Yeah. Yeah, we’ll be there. Bye.” He hung up and sighed.
“Who was it?” I questioned sleepily. He looked at me a bit warily.
“Paul,” he said. “How are you feeling?” he asked, changing the subject. I just shrugged.
“When did I fall asleep?” I asked, confused as to how I got in his bed.
“In the car on the way home from the hotel,” he said. He hesitated. “Do you remember what happened last night?”
I looked away. “Yeah.” He didn’t say anything, just reached over and pulled me into his arms. I buried my face in his chest, wanting to cut out the rest of the world and be only with him. He looked down at me.
“Cat told us.”
I sighed. “I figured she would.”
“Why didn’t you? Love, if I’d known, we could’ve had more security, more people around, so that he couldn’t be near you. I can’t believe you didn’t tell me what he did to you.” His voice had grown angry. I sat up and pushed myself away from him.
“Are you pissed at me?” I asked incredulously. “Pissed for not wanting to tell you how much of a loser I am, that I let him do all that to me? Pissed that I didn’t let you know he was bothering me because I can handle it myself? Pissed that I didn’t relay my whole sad sob story to you, so you could shower me in sympathy?” I snapped, glaring at him. He didn’t understand. He didn’t know how hard it was for me to finally admit to Cat that Rob had done these things. He didn’t know how hard it was for me to be talking about it right now. He was quiet. My angry breathing slowed, and I tried to calm myself down. Finally he said,
“I’m not pissed at you. I just really wish you would have told me about Rob. I know it’s difficult. But I’m your boyfriend. I want to know that you trust me.” He said slowly. It sounded like he was choosing his words carefully.
“I do trust you,” I insisted, my anger fading.
“Then let me help you!” Harry pleaded, grabbing my hand and holding it tight. “Just let me help you for me. I need to know you’re safe.”
“Help me how?” I asked suspiciously. I suddenly remembered the phone call. “Wait, is that what you were talking on the phone about?”
“Yeah. We want-“
“We?” I interrupted. “Who is we?”
“Me, and Cat, and the lads,” Harry said, checking my face to see if that was ok. I nodded and he proceeded. “We want to hire a lawyer for legal counsel on how to keep Rob away from you and the rest of the band. I figure they can help us find some legal way to do it.” He finished. I was silent. “Tiff?” He prodded, cupping my chin in his hand and forcing me to look at him. “Is that okay?” I thought about it.
