*HARRYS POV*

“Is she asleep?” I opened my eyes to find Louis pausing by the couch where I sat tiredly.

“Yeah,” I sighed, rubbing my eyes. The ride from the hotel had been silent, besides the sound of Tiffany trying to stop crying. Eventually she tired herself out and fell asleep in my arms. Now she lay sleeping in my room. Cat and Niall had taken Cat’s car back, and Liam was messing around in the kitchen or something.

“Where do you think Zayn went?” Louis asked a bit hesitantly, sitting down in the chair opposite of me.

“I have no bloody idea,” I replied, picking up my phone. It was almost midnight.

“He probably went back to his place,” Liam said, walking out from the kitchen with a sandwich in his hand. “He just needs to cool off.”

“What the hell got into him? I know he had a thing for her, but she’s my girlfriend, and he needs to accept that!” I exclaimed angrily, chucking my phone at the floor. Liam and Louis exchanged glances.

“Well, first of all, let’s not throw our expensive electronics,” Louis said cautiously as he picked my phone up. I rolled my eyes.

“And secondly, maybe he needs to hear it from Tiffany herself. He needs to hear, from her, that she’s not interested,” Liam continued.

“I don’t know when she’ll be up for that talk, quite honestly,” I said, feeling a bit hopeless. “The worst part is, I don’t even know what happened with Rob!” I said, switching situations. “She won’t tell me anything.” I was so damn frustrated with this whole shitty situation. “If she’s going to be my girlfriend she needs to be honest with me. I need to know what’s going on.”

“I can help with that,” a new voice entered the conversation. I turned to find Cat walking in with Niall.

“I thought you guys went back to your place?” Louis asked. Out of the corner of my eye I could see him motioning, mouthing ‘not a good time’ violently.

“Shut up, Lou,” I said, irritated.

“I agree you need to know what happened to Tiffany. But she’s not going to come right out and say it.” Cat said seriously, sitting down on the loveseat with Niall.

“Why?” I asked, desperate for answers.

“Because she’s been trying to shut that whole time of her life away from her and move on. Obviously it’s not working.” Cat sighed and leaned against Niall.

“So what happened?” Liam asked curiously. Cat sighed again.

“It all started when, a few months ago, Tiffany met Rob at a bar. They hit it off and started dating. She was really, really happy.” My throat tightened at the thought of her being with that dickhead. “Then, about 3 weeks into their relationship, Rob…changed.” She paused.

“Changed how?” Louis asked, looking at her with concerned eyes.

She took a deep breath. “He started drinking a lot more, even in the daytime. He would come over to our flat a lot, and just mooch around. He started being really degrading to Tiff, telling her she was fat and needed to look better if she expected him to go out with her.”
