Life and Love of Madison and Kris Continued

Chapter 443: Practice/ Madison to the rescue.

The next morning Madison woke when the babies did.   It was her turn.   She went and fed them one by one and then changed them as well.    Kris comes in and kisses her and then them.   

"I have to head to practice." Kris says.

"Okay baby let me get our troops ready and then we can go." Madison says.

"Wait baby you are on Maternity leave." Kris says.

"I know but I have to sign off on Tom since I started the process." Madison says.

"Okay, just go to sign off him and then that is it for the next six weeks okay." Kris says.

"I can work from home during that time so I am able to still travel with you guys." Madison says.

"Okay." Kris replies kissing her head.

Madison put them in the carrier and then went to get Joey, Noelle, and Sid up followed but Angel and Miracle.   They head down to the kitchen fiding Micah already there eating cereal.

"Hey buddy." Madison says.

"Hey after school work and practice I have little penguins with uncle Sid." Micah says.

"That is right that does start back up today." Madison says.

"Well let's go." Kris replies..

They all get into the car and head to the practice facility.  Kris heads to the locker room, Madison sets Micah up to do his school work and then she heads to go find Tom.   He was waiting for her in the training room.

"Hey Tom, how are you feeling?" Madison asks.

"I am good, how are you feeling?" Tom asks shocked to see her there since she was supposed to be on maternity leave.

"I am fine.   I know I am supposed to be on materinty leave, however, I started the process of your rehab and I am going to finish it." Madison says.

"Thank you." Tom replies.

They talk a little more and Madison clears him to practice.    He heads out to join the other guys.   Madison was heading back to her office when Sully stopped her.

"Aren't you supposed to be on Maternity leave?" Sully asks.

"Yes I am, however, I started Tom's rehab process so I am going to finish it." Madison replies.

"You are one of a kind.   Thank you." Sully says.

"No Problem.   I will be in my office if you need anything." Madison says.

Madison heads to her office.    She worked with Micah on his school work.   He was almost done it.

Kris, Sid and Geno were out with the guys practicing. 

"Ha ha Russia won the gold and Canada got bronze." Geno says riding Kris and Sid about the Olympics.

"Only because we weren't there." Sid and Kris say.

"Whatever we stil one." Geno says skating away.

They contiue to practice.    That was when Olli Matta shot a puck.      Matt never saw it coming and when he did it was too late it hit him in the head hard.   He went down in pain.   Got back up took a few more plays before falling back down again.

"Shit man he hit his head."  Sully says.

"Thank god Madison is here today." Kris says.

"I go get her." Geno says.

He runs to Madison's office.    A few minutes later she was on the ice and attending to Matt.   They get him off the ice and into the training room.

"God I hope he is okay." Sid says.

"Trust me he is in good hands." Kris replies.

"That he is.   Madison is the best at what she does." Sid says.

They finish practice and then the kids come out onto the ice and they start little penguins.   Kris and Sid and some of the other guys stay out and work with the kids.    It was fun.    When both ractices were over they grab Micah and head home to his house.     He hoped and prayed that Matt was okay but he knew that he was in good hands.   Madison was a top name nuero surgon and with head injuries, well they were the things she was best at fixing the most.

Madison and the trainers got him back into the training room.

"Someone call 911." Madison says.

She starts the concussion protocol on him while they waited for the amublance.    A little bit later the ambulance arrived and they loaded him up.   They headed to hospital for further evaulation.    Madison went with them since she still had privaleges at the hospital.     She initiated the right tests.   They would know their answers later that day.

Kris and Sid get Micah home.   Kris goes and takes care of the babies.   Thankfully Madison had pumped before they let so he had some milk for them.  

He had just put the babies down for the night when Madison comes home.

"Aren't you glad I was there." Madison says as she heats up dinner and sits down to eat.

"Yes baby I am.  " Kris says kissing her head.

"I am too." MAdison says.

She finishes eating and then cleans up.    They put Micah and the other babies to bed together before heading into their own room.

"I love you baby." Kris says.

"I love you too." Madison says.

"If the babies get up I will help you." Kris says.

"Okay, but I got the first shift." Madison says.

"Okay baby." Kris says.

"Goodnight baby." Madison says kissing his chest.

"Goodnight my love." Kris says kissing her head.

He covers them with a blanket as they both drift off to a much needed sleep.
