Life and Love of Madison and Kris Continued

Chapter 597: St Louis exploring

The next morning Madison woke up when the alarm goes off.   Kris wakes up too.

"How hung over are you?" Madison asks.

"Not at all.  I was drinking water as well as alcohol." Kris says.

"Well that is good baby." Madison says kissing him.

"We better get up since we are exploring St. Louis with the kids, mom and the gang." Kris says.

"Yes, Taylor nor Autumn have never been here so we have to." Madison says.

"I agree." Kris says.

They both get up and get dressed.   They then head and get the babies up, dressed and in their carriers.    Ruth was waiting for them in the living room.   She had Micah up and ready.   When everyone comes out they all head down to breakfast.   It was free.    They each grab a waffle and a bowl of cereal of their choice.   They finish their breakfast and head out.

"Thanks for taking me to explore St. Louis before heading home." Taylor says.

"Yeah thank you." Autumn says.

"Well you weren't with us the last time we were here." Madison says.

"Yeah and besides it will be fun." Nadia says.

"We have a fun experience planned first." Jake says.

"Yes we do." Sid says.

"The kids will love it too." Kris replies.

"Autumn will too." Justin says.

They make their way to the zip line course.

"Zip lining!" Taylor squeals.

"Oh I love it!" Autumn squeals too.

"This will be fun." Madison and Nadia both say.

 They then meet a certified zipline guide, who helps them all  suit up in a zipline harness and then gives them a basic safety orientation.    Ruth was even going.   She was pretty pumped.  They travel to the top of a forested ridge in a 9 -seater, side-by-side buggy.   Sid, Nadia, their kids and Jake and Taylor rode in one.   Madison and Kris, Ruth, the kids and Justin and Autumn rode in the second car.   Once they arrived at the top they start their zipline experience with a 'baby zip.   They then work their  way towards longer, faster and more challenging lines until they reach line #9, the 'super zip.'   Clip in and launch yourself onto 1,100 feet (335 mt.) of line, picking up momentum until you reach up to 50 mph (80kph).  At each platform, guides  helped them with the harnesses, so they're protected from beginning to end.   The zipline canopy tour, concludes at the main facility, where they find picnic tables beside a natural spring.   They enjoyed a picnic style lunch and fresh water from spring.   When they finished eating they head out and head towrads their next tour. 

"Where to now?" Taylor asks.

"Yeah." Autumn asks.

"The gateway arch, and then Nadia and I have something planned for the guys but will be cool for us too." Madison says.

"Yes it will be." Nadia says smiling.

"I am excited so lets go." Ruth says.

They head to the Gateway Arch.  They all gaze at over 43,000 tons of concrete and steel making an iconic, elegant arc 63 stories high into the Midwest sky.   Shaped by the inspired design of Finnish-America architect Eero Saarinen, the Gateway Arch celebrates the westward expansion of the United States and the pioneers who made it possible. Since its completion in 1965, the monument has taken millions of visitors on the trip to the top to enjoy stunning views stretching up to 30 miles to the east and west.
