The next morning Madison woke up and headed to check on the babies. They were all still sleeping. Madison headed down to kitchen to make breakfast. Nadia was already in there cooking.
"You are up early today." Madison says.
"I have to go into the office for a little bit because Autumn has an appointment with me before practice. I only have a few so I should be there for practice." Nadia says.
"Okay." Madison says.
"Yeah, I will see you later." Nadia says hugging her.
Madison decided to make her famous breakfast casserole. She had just put it in the oven when Kris comes down with the babies in their carrier. Sid, Geno Anna, Justin and Autumn trickle down after him. Micah and Nikita were the last down.
"Thanks for letting us crash here again." Anna says.
"Yeah, that was really nice of you." Autumn says.
"You guy are like family. You are welcome here anytime." Madison says.
"Yes I second that. " Kris says.
Madison gets the casserole out of the oven and puts it on the table. She then gives the oldest kids fruits and cheerio's to eat. They all sit around and eat their breakfast chatting about a little bit of everything.
"I have an idea since it is supposed to be so nice outside why don't we have a team cookout here tonight. We can have food and a fire and just relax before tomorrow's game." Madison says.
"Sound's good." Kris says.
"Sounds good to me too." Sid says.
"I will send a group text to the girls and Sid, Geno and boy can tell the rest of the team." Anna says.
They finish breakfast. Justin and Autumn leave to head to her appointment. Kris and Sid do the dishes.
"I am going to stay behind and help Ruth watch the babies. Besides I will get a start on making some food." Anna says.
"Thanks Anna. I will help you as soon as practice is over." Madison replies.
"I know you will." Anna says.
Madison, Kris, Sid and Geno all head to the practice facility in Kris's truck. The arrive and the boy head to the movie room. Madison heads to do some paper work.
An hour later she heads out to the ice. The boys had just started trickling out as well. She sits down to watch. That was when Nadia and Autumn show up and sit next to her.
"Sorry we are late." Autumn says.
"Did you just get back from the appointment?" Nadia asks.
"No, afterwards I had to go to work." Autumn says.
"Yeah and I had two more patients. But I am done for the day. And tomorrow Selena is seeing patients." Nadia says.
"Awesome. Oh later on this afternoon/evening we are hosting the team at our house for a picnic." Madison says.
"Awesome idea Madison." Nadia says.
"Yeah it is. We got Anna's text as well." Autumn says.
"Thanks you guy are welcome to crash again." Madison says.
"Justin and I will have an announcement to make." Autumn says smiling.
"Oh do you know what you are having?" Madison asks.
"Not yet because it is to early but it is news about the pregnancy. We are telling the team so no more secret." Autumn says smiling from ear to ear.
They sit there chatting watching practice. Finely it ended and the boys headed to go change and shower. A little bit later the boys come out. They all head their separate ways. Madison and Kris head home.
"Thanks for thinking about the cookout. The guys are excited." Kris says.
"Good I am glad." Madison says.
They arrive at the house and Kris goes to set up some games in the back yard. He set up cornhole, horseshoes and a few other games. Madison heads to the kitchen to help Anna with food.
"Okay So Kelsey, Julian, Kayla, Chrissy, Erica and Malin have all texted me what they were bringing. SO I am working around that." Anna says.
"What have you done so far?" Madison says.
"Deviled Eggs, cole slaw and macaroni salad." Anna says.
"Okay I will make my seven layer salad and my taco dip." Madison says.
"I will make my famous meatballs." Nadia says.
"Sound good." Anna says.
"I will make my buffalo chicken dip and crab dip." Autumn says.
"Let's do this." Madison says.
They girls all set out to work making their food. Ruth had come in to make her famous potato salad and cucumber salad and a desert.
Kris and the guys come in and grab the food to start grilling. Kris was grilling burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausages and steaks.
"We are going to eat like kings." Justin says.
"Yes we are." Sid says.
"I know and the other guys are bringing some stuff too." Kris replies.
The food had just finished as members of the team started to show up.
"ello." Noelle, Joey and Sid says as Micah opens the door.
"Aww hey guys." Dumo, Kayla, Murray, Chrissy and Rust and Kelsey say.
They lead them out to the backyard. Finely the whole team including staff were there. They all sit around eating and chatting. They were enjoying the company. After dinner was salvaged and things were cleaned up and put away they guys head off to play some games. The girls head over to the fire pit. Madison lights a fire. Kris had put the big screen out in the yard. They sit around watching the hockey games.
A little bit later the boy all join the girls. Kris had all of the games playing on the big screen.
"Okay guys we have an announcement to make." Justin says standing up with Autumn.
"Oh this should be good." Dumo say.
"Just tell us." Patric replies.
"Well you know Autumn and I met almost a month ago. Well even though she isn't that far along we wanted to share with you that she us pregnant." Justin says smiling from ear to ear.
"Congrats Justin." Carl says.
"Yeah man that is awesome." Olli says.
"That isn't the whole news. Not only are we pregnant but during the sonogram we had today at our check up we found out that we are having twins." Autumn says.
The crown erupts in cheers. The girls all hug Autumn. The boys light a few cigars to celebrate.
"ew ean spouts." Noelle says.
"Yes princess." Justin says picking her up kissing her.
Noelle nuzzles against him. Little by little the team heads home. Geno and Anna, Justin and Autumn and Sid and Nadia were going to stay the night again. Autumn, Nadia, Anna and Madison all head to put the kid down to sleep while the boys cleaned up. Once the kids were down they all headed to their rooms. Madison goes in and gets ready for bed. A few minutes later Kris comes in.
"Thanks for a great day." Kris says kissing her head as he lays beside her in bed.
"I had fun too." Madison says as she rolls over onto his chest.
"Get some rest." Kris says kissing her head pulling the covers up.
"You too." Madison says.
They snuggle together falling into a deep sleep.
