*Yugi's POV*
An alarm is probably the worst thing mankind has ever created. But...its the only thing getting me up on time to go and see Yami. I had a quick shower and grabbed whatever I left out earlier and shoved it on."Grandpa!! I'm heading out Now!! "I yelled and heard him coming down stairs.
"You be care out there Yugi. The snow has piled up and it'a really slippery," he said and I nodded my head. I thought before I left I could clear the front of the store of snow so he didn't have to come out here and do it him self.
After a few minutes of kicking the powdery snow it was almost all clear which was good enough for me. I took my leave but not before having a final look back at the game shop. Where I have been raised for my entire life...amd I'm already leaving at my age. I really do hope Grandpa will be ok without me around as much.
My mind was wondering through all of these questions and I didn't realise that I was at the front gates of the palace. I wasn't nervous before but now....Ra I'm shaking in my shoes. How am I even supposed to show up after months of being missing.
"Heya Yami!! Sorry I have been gone I was apart of a secret society!!" I yelled ans shook my head. No that's defiantly not an ice breaker. "Umm hey Yami. Forgive me for being away, I was needed for an important mission. But I'm back now!!" No that's makes me sound like some secret agent.
I shook my hands and slapped my face, why is this so difficult? I pressed the call button on the gate and waited for the camera screen to come on. "Yes who is it?" someone called and I recognised the voice of Shadi. I laughed a little bit because I knew exactly what to say to him.
"Sorry coach. I've missed quite a few training sessions haven't I?" I said and the camera flickered off. The gates opened and a very emotional Shadi was on the other side.
"Y-Y-Y-Yugi is that really you!?!?" he screamed and ran to me. I put my finger to my mouth to try and quiet him but that didn't work since he rugby tackled me and almost took me to the ground. "E-Everyone thought you were dead!! Where have you been!?!?"
"Long story which I can't really explain right now. I wanna go see Yami and Heba now if that's alright." I said and detached him from me. He sniffled a little but nodded his head and brought me back in the palace with the gates closing behind us. I heard some of the maids starting to whisper but they were all smiling at me.
"I have an idea. I'll try and get Prince Yami out of his room and out for a walk. Then while we are out you sneak in and wait for him to come back. That's a chance for you to see Heba," he said as we were walking. We soon enough got to his room and Shadi went in, I stood at the side for when the door opened it would hide me.
It sounds really quiet in there, I wonder if Heba is asleep. Wait I just remembered, Atem! I haven't seen him around the palace and when I came in he should of heard the commotion. Is he alive? Is he....dead because of me? I didn't have time to think before the door opened and I saw Yami for a spilt second. He looked a mess, his hair untidy and it looked like he didn't put any effort into his looks. Shadi gave me a quick head not then led him down the hallway. I slid into the room and saw there was a krib in the middle of his bed and my old one.
And then there was the little one. Heba was sleeping soundly in his cot with a bottle next to him, I guess he was just fed. I feel bad, this whole time Yami has had to raise him on his own and thought that I was dead. I need to give him a really long apology when he comes back. I tried looking around for my puzzle but it wasn't anywhere. I knew before we left to fight I left it on the desk.
Maybe Yami moved it? But when I saw him I saw he didn't have his on either and it's not in here. I flopped down on my bed and let out a sigh just to be back in my own bed. Heba started to stir and he started to cry out. I got up from my bed and tried to give him his bottle but he wasn't taking it. What is it my mom used to do to calm me down?? Oh I remember!!
I got back up from the bed and picked Heba out from his cot and rocked him back and fourth. He calmed down really fast and grabbed my shirt a little as he fell back asleep. He actually does look a lot like me, but his skin colour reminds me of Atem a little.
A knocking came to the door and I knew that Shadi and Yami had returned. Shadi said he would go a little of Yami and knock on the door to let me know that he was coming in. I checked my hair in the mirror and straighten myself out. I had Heba in my arms and was about to see Yami for the first time in months... I'm too excited for this.
The door knob started to turn and Shadi was the first one that came in with a big smile. Then I saw him...my other half...
Yami....
