*Yami's POV*
The sun has started to come up, I feel so tired of traveling and I want my bed! I've been working on the puzzle I got from Yugi and it's been the only thing to keep me awake. Seto has been trying to make up topics to talk about but he didn't interest me. The puzzle had all my attention. "Sire we are approaching the gate," Seto said and that was the first time I looked up. The palace wasn't as large as the one I was staying at, but I can't judge it by the outside since the family is powerful.A guard from the gate came over and let me out but dragged Seto off. "Welcome Prince Yami to the palace," I heard and turned to the voice. A man with short white hair was standing over me with someone hiding behind him. "This is my daughter, Princess Rebecca, I hope you two will get along."
She came from behind his leg and into view, she was really short and had long blond hair. "U-um hello Yami. I-It's nice to meet you," she said and bowed. Paying my respect, I bowed to her as well and the man just started to laugh at us. I took a glance over my shoulder to find Seto, but when I caught him in my view, his entire face looked like he had seen a ghost.
"Excuse me for a moment," I said and went to walk to Seto, but something grabbed my arm. Turning that way, Rebecca had grabbed my arm and was preventing me from moving. "Pardon me Rebecca but I want to go see my guard, something seems to be troubling him."
"Oh but do you have to? How about I show you around the palace then you can talk to him. You two are staying in the same room so you two can have all the time in the world to talk then," she said and started to drag me off. I tried digging my heels in the ground but her grip was tight, there was no way to run from her.
I guess if we are sharing a room then I could talk to him then, but what if it's really bad? If I was that bad though he would come and talk to me straight away wouldn't he? Yeah I should be fine. I went with Rebecca around the palace and she kept getting uncomfortably close to me. "Yami Yami! This is my room so if your ever bored, you and Seto can come here and we can play a game!" she said and pulled me along again.
She....is really bright for a princess isn't she? Also I don't think I'll get bored with the puzzle. Yugi said that it was called the Millennium Puzzle, which confused me to why such a simple thing as a puzzle would be called a fancy name. Rebecca kept dragging me around until it was time for dinner and I realised I have not slept for ages. My eyes feel so heavy I swear I'm going to pass out. When we all sat down Rebecca sat with me to my right and Seto to the left.
"Seto what's on your mind. I saw your face earlier as if something surprised you." I asked but he just shook his head at me. He got out a pen and wrote down on the napkin. 'I will tell you later but not here,' it read. I looked up at him and he just shot away from me. What are you hiding Seto? After dinner I took the chance to be alone and creeped away to my room. Seto was already in there, which made me happy because he could now explain to me what was up.
"Sire, if you want to hear then I suggest you take a seat," he said and stood up from the bed and walked over to the desk. I sat down with him but when I looked at him, he had nothing but sadness in his eyes. "I-I'm afraid I have some very bad news from back home."
Ok now I'm getting worried. Has something happened to mother or father? Or even Yugi....Ra please don't let it be Yugi. "Seto, what's happened? Has there been an injury to anyone?" He took a deep breath before he spoke. I need to be prepared for anything.
"T-There has been a car crash...and three people were in it." he was taking breaks, but wait why would mother or father be out? "I-I'm afraid that the people that were in it was Yugi and his parents..." What...no...no no no no this can't be happening! "They said that his parents were too fatally injured to survive but Yugi...we're still waiting on news from him.
"Get a car ready..." I mumbled and shot to my feet. Seto grabbed me and held me back from running to the door. "LET ME GO! I need to go see him he needs me!" I screamed and thrashed around in his arms. I was fully crying now but I didn't care, I just wanted to see Yugi.
"Sire you can't do that! If you disappear now then this family will become angry. I'm very sorry...I too wish that we could go see him..." Seto said and I finally got out of his arms.
"I don't care if their angry! I'll take responsibility when I return because Yugi is my top priority! I'm going with or without you Seto so goodbye!" I yelled and turned to head out. But I felt something strike me and as I was falling to the ground, I had a look back at Seto mouthing 'sorry'.
When I hit the ground my vision was going blurry and all I could think of was Yugi. He's suffering...and there's nothing I can do...
DAAAAA I hate making them sad! I want in this story for Yami to be really protective of Yugi so I can't wait for the future. But for a happy end must come a bumpy road, and this is just the start of it for the boys. Also I don't know if I have spelled Rebecca's name right but don't worry, she won't be in this story for long.
ANyway if you guys enjoyed this chapter let me know down below and STAY TUEND FOR THE NEXT ONE.
