You Don't Know Me

Gone

Blake's POV

Carl and I snuck out the back and made it to the same spot where Tommy and I went over the wall.  I grabbed the ladder from the bush and lean it up against the wall.  Carl starts to climb up the ladder.

"Blake."  Tommy said running over to me.  "Where are you going?"

"We're leaving."  I tell him.

"What?"  He asked.  "Why?"

"I can't stay here."  I tell him.  "I need to be out there and fight.  And with my mom keeping me trapped here I won't be able to."

"So you're leaving...for good?"  He asked.

"I have to."  I tell him.

"So...this is it."  He said.

"I guess so."  I said.  "Maybe one day we'll meet up again."  I reach in my bag and grab a letter I wrote and hand it to him.  "Give this to my mom."

"I will."  He said taking the letter.  "What do I say if she asks where you are?"

"Tell her you don't know anything."  I tell him.  "Tell her that you found the letter in my room."

"Ok."  He said.  "I guess I'll see you later."

He turns around and walks away.  It was sad knowing that I might never see him again.  I hate goodbyes.  But I know that it has to be done.  I go to the latter and start climbing up.  When I get to the top I hop down where Carl is.

"Let's go."  I tell him.

Tommy's POV

I started walking back to my house.  I put the letter for Rachel in my pocket and decided I'd give it to her later.  When I get to my house I start walking to my door but stop when I hear a voice behind me.

"Where are you off to?"  The voice said.

I roll my eyes knowing where the voice is coming from and I turn around.

"What do you want Jessica?"  I asked.

"I'm just wanted to talk to you."  She said with her fake ass smile. 

"Why?"  I asked.

"I just thought of how interesting it would be when Rachel finds out that her son left for good."  She said with a grin.  "And how you knew about it the whole time.  She'll probably kill you."

"And why would she believe you?"  I asked.
