Tommy's POV

I was looking at the map trying to figure out which way was the fastest way to get back. Carol was sitting next to me driving and would occasionally glance over at me waiting for me to give her directions.

"Shit!" Carol said stopping the car.

I was about to ask her what the problem was. But when I looked up at the road I saw what it was. There was a herd down the road blocking us from getting through. I see Carol unbuckle and get out of the car and I do the same.

"What happened?" Carl asked as him and Blake get out from the back.

"Herd of walkers in our way." Carol tells them.

"Now what?" Blake asked.

"We'll have to turn around." Carol said before turning to me. "Is there another way we can go?"

I pull out the map and try to see if was could go a different way.

"There is." I tell them. "But it will take way longer."

"And we're low enough on gas as it is." Carol said. "We probably won't be able to make it if we don't find a station."

"There isn't another gas station for miles." I said looking at the map. "We could try to turn around, but there's no guarantee we'll make it before running out of gas."

"Are you sure we can't just drive around them?" Carl asked.

"The walkers are blocking the entire road." Carol told him. "And there are too many trees for us to drive off road. So we have to turn around, we don't have another choice."

"Not exactly." A voice said.

We all quickly turn around to see an older woman with long blonde hair and hazel eyes. Carol takes out her gun and steps in front of all of us and aims the gun at the woman.

"Who the hell are you?" Carol asked the woman.

"My name is Ella." She answered. "And I might have an idea for you to get around the 'walkers'."

"Why would you, a complete stranger, help us?" Carol asked.

"Someone once helped me without knowing me." She told us. "Now I try to help others."

"What's your plan?" Carol asked still aiming the gun at her.

"Just give me thirty minutes and you'll be able to drive right on threw without any problems."

Carol held her grip tight on the gun as she continued to glare at the woman.

"I'll give you twenty." Carol told her.
