Blake's POV

Carl and I get back to the cabin.  When we walk inside and we don't see anyone around.  Just then Carol walks in and Carl and I both quickly pull our hands apart.

"So, were there any problems?"  Carol asked.

"Nothing I couldn't handle."  I tell her.

"That's good."  Carol said before turning to Carl.  "I told you he would be fine."

"I'm sorry for worrying about my friend."  Carl said in his defense.

Carol and Carl take a seat next to each other at the table and I sit across from them.

"So, I have to tell you guys something."   I said and they both look at me giving me their attention.  "I think I have to go back home.  To Limington."

"Limington?"  Carol asked.  "The place you used to live?"

"Yeah."  I tell her.  "I just think I have to go there.  See what happened.  If it's still there or...if it isn't."

"If this is something you have to do, then you should."  Carol told me.  "You have to do what's best for you."

"She's right."  Carl said.  "We can leave first thing tomorrow."

"Actually...I think I should go on my own."  I tell them.

"No."  Carl told me.  "I'm not gonna let you go off alone."

"You can't come with me."  I tell him.  "The last time you went there, my mom was going to execute you.  This is something I have to do on my own."

"No!"  Carl said standing up.  "I can't..."

"Carl."  Carol said placing her hand on his shoulder.  "This is something he has to do on his own."

Carl looks at me then at Carol then back at me before he storms off into his room and slams his door.  Then Judith starts to cry from her room.

"I hate that he's mad at me."  I said.

Carol walks over to me and puts her arm around me.

"He's not mad at you, he just cares about you."  Carol told me.  "Right now he can't see that this is something you have to do on your own.  But he will soon."

"Thanks Carol."  I said.

"Now, I should go get Judith and try to put her back to bed."  She said before going to Judith's room.

I sat there alone at the table.  I know Carl's mad at me and I wish he could come with me, but I know that he can't.  Because like Carol said, this is something I have to do on my own.  Going back home to see if Limington is still there.  To see if the people are still there.  To see if mom is still there.
