I looked around in panic, trying to see what everyone else was doing. Evergreen had sprouted wings and was flying (with Elfman) towards the island. Freed too had sprouted wings, and Bickslow was surfing on his doll things.

Cheaters.

Everyone else was desperately trying to use their magic to slow the fall.

"Skie, use. Your. Magic!" yelled Natsu over the wind. I death glared him.

"Unfortunately, I can't sprout wings!" I snapped back. Wendy bumped into me. We both let out 'kyas!' of surprise.

"Wait a minute... Wendy! Use your magic to create a 'pillow' for everyone to land on!" I called. She nodded, eyes wide with stunned horror at the fact Makarov had literally dropped us.

"Sky Dragon..."

The ground was hurtling closer every second.

"ROAR!"

Magic slammed into the ground, and luckily, created a bouncy cushion for us all to land on. Bodies sprawled everywhere, with much cursing.

The moment everyone was safely on solid ground, we all studied the passages before us. Passages A and D were already closed.

"Elfman and Evergreen and Freed and Bickslow must have taken those two paths..." Gray sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Gildarts isn't here this time, so E might actually stand for 'Erza'!" Natsu cheered. Without hesitation, he sprinted into the 'E' passage.

"Hey!" I yelled, and scrambled after him. I caught up with him in a couple seconds and we slowed our pace to a walk. The trees and bushes around us created a tunnel, the only lights being small rays of sunlight that had managed to penetrate the wall.

"What the heck are you doing?! Do you actually want to fight Erza?!" I snapped indignantly. Natsu nodded eagerly.

"I'm all fired up!"

"If we fought her, we'd never make it to the second round!" I fumed, "And do you really think she would be down this passage?!"

"I don't know! There's always a chance!" he replied. We walked on, expecting a blast of magic to hit us at any moment. The silence was deafening. I looked at Natsu.

"We should have found someone by now!" he frowned. I was about to respond when he stopped dead. "Look!"

I peered down the dark tunnel. A glint of light was visible.

"Come on!" Natsu whispered. We both ran along the tunnel, trying to be as quiet as possible, in case someone was indeed there. But as we got closer, the light formed the shape of an 'O'.

"Wait a minute..." I murmured, "Natsu, I think we got the peaceful route!"

Natsu studied the hole. Sunlight streamed in from the outside.

"Aww... I wanted to fight someone!" he complained. I rolled my eyes, inwardly breathing a sighed of relief.

"Never mind that! Look at the size of this hole! It's freakin' tiny! I don't know if we'll be able to fit!" I said. The hole was barely bigger than my head. I stepped forward and pushed my head and shoulders through the stiff bush. The sunlight almost blinded me after spending the last twenty or so minutes in darkness. I wriggled my shoulders a bit, and finally, I toppled out of the hole and face-planted the dirt.

"Ow!" I whined. I began to push myself up, but the breath was knocked out of me as Natsu shoved his way out of the hole, flailing his arms wildly. I face planted the dirt. Again.

"Natsu... I... Am... Going... To... Kill... You...!" I wheezed.

"Ah. I see you two got the peace and quiet route, huh?" A voice above us said. I raised my dirt smeared face to see Master Makarov standing over us, grinning.

"Aww, Gramps! I wanted to throw down with Erza!" Natsu complained. I hissed in annoyance.

"You'll get to fight me very soon if you don't get the hell off of me!" I snapped. This threat, apparently, had no effect on the idiot.

"Fine! You asked for this! Star Dragon Gleam!" I growled. A wave of magic slammed Natsu away from me and into a nearby tree. I sat up and brushed the dirt from my face and clothes. I could see Master Makarov biting back his laughter. Natsu groaned and got up.

"Ow..." he mumbled, rubbing the bruise on his head.

"Next time you decide to casually flatten me into the ground, the consequences will be worse!" I threatened.

"Anyway," interrupted Makarov, "you two should just relax for a while until the rest get here. Go see Lisanna and she'll give you two some lunch. The camp is just through those trees."

We thanked him, and stumbled into the camp. Several tents had been erected, and the spectators all sat around a table in the centre. Lisanna hurried towards up, carrying two steaming bowls of delicious smelling pasta.

"What route did you guys get?" she asked.

"Peace and quiet," Natsu grumped. Lisanna smiled knowingly and thrust the bowls into our hands.

"Well eat up, you'll need your strength for the next round!" she smiled.
