I waved a torn off bit of fabric slowly in front of my brother's face.

"Okay. Focus on the scent..." I coaxed. Natsu's gaze didn't leave the fabric.

"Focussing."

"Alright. Now go find its owner, or as I like to put it, a wild Lucy, or your Senpai!" I instructed, dropping the fabric.

Natsu immediately jumped up and wove around the cluttered tables until he reached Lucy. I grinned evilly as Natsu hoisted Lucy up and walked off again. Lucy twist around to glaring in embarrassment, and flipped me off.

"Skie, I hate you!" She yelled. I gave her an innocent smile.

"What?" I asked, "Hey Mira! check this out!"

Mirajane danced over clapping like a seal on drugs, "My ships are setting sail!"

I laughed.

We were back in the guild hall, with the usual bustle.
Juvia was stalking Gray from behind the request board, Natsu had stopped to argue with Gray while still holding Lucy.
Erza was munching on a delicious looking slice of cake.
Mirajane, Lisanna and Kinana were serving drinks to (a very drunk) Cana, Macao and Wakaba.
Wendy was playing with the exceeds, and beside me, Levy was sitting reading a book while Gajeel snacked on some iron next to her.

A table suddenly went spiralling through the air, knocking Gajeel off his seat. I scooted away as Levy jumped up asking frantically if the Iron Dragon Slayer was okay.

"More shippings...!" I whispered, before turning around to find the source of the table flip.
Of course, it was the boys. Natsu and Gray had accidentally knocked it while fighting.
May sped over to me.

"Time to get to the bomb shelter. Erza's about to explode!" The brown exceed warned as she dodged Erza's flying cake.

"Erza! Don't knock- Oh. Never mind," I faltered.
Erza had knocked Cana's barrel of booze over, and now the liquid was seeping into the wooden floor.

"A cake deprived Erza vs a drunk, angry Cana. Who will win? Both are avenging spilt food and drink!" I said dramatically.

At that very moment, Natsu and Gray caused the table I was sitting on to basically explode as they crashed into it.

"Take that, you stupid snowflake!"

"Bring it on, pinky!"

"Oh it is on, you stripper ice queen!"

"Honestly," I growled, death-glaring the two boys, "Have you no respect for the furniture? Or your own sister's welfare?"

That last part was directed mainly at Natsu. They ignored me. Go figure.

I cracked my knuckles menacingly, but sat down at another table, deciding that I would rather not get in between the food war between Erza and Cana that Natsu and Gray were rolling straight into.

"This is about to get very chaotic," PantherLily grumbled, flapping down to sit beside May.

"I know, right? Oh, hey Juvia! What's up?" I smiled. Juvia settled herself onto the chair and stared over in the direction of the war in the corner.

"Gray-sama is so amazing!" she gushed, staring at the (now shirtless) ice mage.

"Um, sure..." I muttered sarcastically. Juvia whipped around to glare at me.

"Are you agreeing with me? You are my new love rival!" she hissed. I raised both hands in an act of surrender.

"I don't like Gray in that way, honest!" I protested. Mirajane paused in her circuit of the tables.

"She's right, Juvia," she laughed, "Skie doesn't like Gray! But there's another emo wizard in Sabertoo-"

"MIRA, WE TALKED ABOUT THIS!" I screeched, leaping up and flailing my arms around like a headless chicken. Mirajane smirked evilly and walked away again to leave Juvia staring at me in relief.

"Good... Juvia doesn't have to kill you for being a love rival..."

I sweat-dropped and edged away, but was abruptly grabbed by the drunken and furious mess known as Cana Alberona.

"You are my sacrifice to the booze deities...!" she hollered, keeping an iron grip on the top of my shirt, despite my struggles.

"What if I don't really feel like being sacrificed to Erza by a drunk mage?" I squeaked quickly. Cana just tightened her grip and glared at the oncoming Erza.

"You shall never best me!" Erza snarled, swiping her sword at me. I squeaked and flung my arm, which I had enveloped in magic, up to deflect the shining steel.
Luckily, the force from the blow knocked Cana off her feet. As she toppled over and smashed into an overturned table, she relinquished her grip on me.

"You have no honour! Trying to sacrifice someone to save yourself!" howled Erza.

I rolled away and ended up under the bar next to Kinana, who was peering over at the fight.

"I think Erza is slightly tipsy... The fumes from Cana's spilt drink..." Kinana said grudgingly. I rubbed my arm where Erza had smashed it with her sword.

"Yeah, I got that impression."

We both ducked under the bar as a chair spun through the air and smashed on the wall behind us.

"The sad truth is that Erza, the one who usually puts things right and stops the fighting, is the one causing the most chaos!" Lisanna huffed, sprinting around to sit with us.

"I'm going in...!" I announced dramatically, readying myself to launch up over the table.

"Good luck!" Lisanna laughed dryly.

I darted around the bar, hollering like my hair was on fire. I crashed into Natsu and Gray.

TIME TO DISTRACT THEM.

"Hey, we should go on a job," I stated, as if I hadn't just body-slammed them. Just as I hoped, it diverted their attention from their fight.

"Hell yeah! I'm all fired up!" Natsu grinned.

"Get off me, you two..." Gray hissed. Hurriedly, I ran over to the request board to assess the available jobs.

"Ooh! We're doing a job?"

I turned around and nodded enthusiastically at Lucy.

"Yep! Want to help decide which one?" I asked. Lucy stepped up beside me, now studying each and every request carefully.

"We should do a simple-ish job. We just finished the Grand Magic Games, after all!" Wendy suggested as she and Carla jogged over to stand beside us. I nodded gratefully at her.

"How about this one? It looks simple enough!" Lucy tugged a sheet of paper off the board and handed it to me. I smoothed it out and started to read it.

"Yeah, okay! This guy just needs us to keep some weird people out of his farm. Shouldn't be too hard for us!" I agreed, "Oi! Natsu, Gray! Get your butts the heck over here!"

The two boys grudgingly obliged, giving each other the evil eyes all the way.

"Sweet! Let's go!" cheered Wendy. Lucy laid a hand on her shoulder.

"Wait a sec, where's Erza disappeared to?"

I scanned the guild hall, but there was no sign of the scarlet haired mage.

"We should probably wait for her..." Wendy murmured. Lucy nodded quickly.

"Let's wait ten or so minutes, and if she still isn't here in that time, we leave. Everyone okay with that?" She suggested.

"Aye!"
