"Wake up! Wake up!" I hissed in panic, shaking Natsu wildly, and glancing back at the thieves every few seconds.
They were getting closer to the Golden Riverberries every moment.
"Wha? Skie?!" My brother mumbled, still half asleep.
"Get the hell up! The thieves are down there!"
By now, the exceeds were awake, squinting down at the crops in alarm.
Natsu sat bolt upright, nearly toppling off his tree branch in his haste.
"What's going on?" Lucy asked from my left, gently waking Wendy as I hurled sticks at the sleeping figure of Erza.
"Red alert!" I whisper shouted at them, "Thieves in the field!"
Lucy snatched up her celestial keys. Gray climbed over to my lookout branch to get a better view.
"Everyone, stick to the plan! Go!" (The now awake) Erza instructed.
Half a second later, she had disappeared into the darkness below to 'engage the enemy'.
I jumped down my tree, stumbling upon landing, then began to run towards the thieves, trying to stay low and blend in with the tomatoes on my left.
The plan was to surround the thieves, then ambush them. We would then proceed to capture them. Simple enough.
As I drew closer to the Golden Riverberries, the excited voices of the thieves became louder. They had gruff, harsh voices, undoubtedly male.
I slowed my pace and glanced around in an attempt to see my comrades. I caught a glimpse of Happy, Carla and May circling high above the thieves.
I managed to see Lucy through the plants, crouched and ready for Erza's signal, which came barely a minute later.
A gleaming sword spiralled into the air, then shot down the the thieves, who had started screaming in alarm.
"LET'S KICK SOME BAD GUY BUTT!" I hollered, jumping up and closing in on the thieves.
"Ice Make: Floor!" Came Gray's shout. I saw the dirt trail underneath the thieves' feet freeze into gleaming ice. Several curses echoed through the night as the thieves fell over themselves.
"My turn!" Lucy called, "Open! Gate of the Ram! Aries!"
She swung Aries's key forward, summoning the spirit forth. Aries bleated a swift apology, then started throwing sticky, pink, fluff balls at the thieves' feet, gluing them into place.
"Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!"
Waves of wind rippled out from where Wendy stood. The thieves were knocked off their feet from the force.
I pushed through the leaves that hid my position to stand menacingly before the thieves. Or that's what I wanted to happen. In reality, I tripped over my own feet as I charged.
"AHH, UM, STAR DRAGON'S SHATTERING STARLIGHT!" I screeched. Multiple explosions of magic flourished all around the thieves. Unfortunately, due to my little stumble, the force of the attack pushed me back through the crops.
"Really, Skie?" Natsu asked in a raised voice as he slammed a fire covered fist into each of the thieves in turn.
"Oh, shut up," I muttered.
"This finishes it! Heaven's Wheel! Blumenblatt!" Erza yelled. Swords slammed into the thieves, throwing up a cloud of dust and soil.
No movement showed from within the chaos area as the dirt settled back down to the ground.
As expected, the five thieves were out cold. Erza quickly bound them with rope and Lucy summoned Virgo, commanding the pink-haired maid to dig a hole, which we then dumped the thieves in.
