The next few matches were over pretty quickly, and I slept through them all (again, because I have the attention span of a goldfish).
"Now for the final match of Day two! Gray Fullbuster VS Chelia Blendy!"
"GRAY-SAMA, I BELIEVE IN YOUUU!" Juvia screeched down to Gray, who was walking into the arena. His only reply came in the form of a brief wave.
"I don't know who to cheer for! Gray's in the Fairy Tail team, but Chelia's my friend and I don't want her to lose either!" Wendy admitted sheepishly, edging away from Juvia, who was waving her arms about wildly.
"It's okay to cheer for both of them!" Erza smiled reassuringly at the younger girl, "It's good to show sportsmanship at events such as these!"
The battle began with Chelia sending waves of dark magic everywhere. Gray managed to dodge most, but some struck their target.
"Ice Make! Floor!"
The ground of the arena was immediately covered in ice, causing Chelia to slip over with a yelp.
"Ice Make: Freeze Lancer!"
Beams of ice shot at Chelia, knocking her back.
Despite being barely able to stand up properly on the slippery ice, the Sky God Slayer sent different attacks back at him.
"Sky God's Boreas!"
Magic swept towards Gray, who didn't dodge in time, and was consequently thrown into the air.
"I've got you now!" Chelia called, launching herself into the air, and preparing another attack.
"LOVE RIVAL!" Juvia howled, "YOU CAN DO IT, GRAY-SAMA!"
I saw Gray look around at Juvia, and determination spread across his features.
"Sky God's Bellow!"
"Ice Make: Prison!"
Both attacks collided between the two wizards and exploded.
Wisps of ice rained down everywhere and the two fighters smashed into the ground, actually cracking the ice where they landed. The crowd was silent. Gray rose shakily to his feet, despite having felt the full force of Chelia's attack and looked over to where the dark-pink haired mage was crouched.
"Smart, using a trapping attack to bring her back down to the ground and then keep her there..." Erza murmured.
Chelia was indeed trapped in a prison of ice.
"What is this?"
"Ice Make: Ice Geyser!" Gray yelled. The frozen ground erupted into a massive spiral of ice and slammed into Chelia. The Sky God Slayer rose unsteadily to her feet.
"Sky God's Dance!" She countered, running at Gray. Luckily, the ice mage was ready.
"Ice Make: Shield!" A flower-like shield appeared before him, stopping Chelia's attack and accidentally causing her to face-plant the ice. She fell backwards and Gray dispelled the shield.
"This should finish this! Ice Make: Seven Slice Dance!"
Jacked ice blades appeared on Gray's forearms, and he launched forwards, slashing at Chelia seven, effective times.
She crashed onto the ground, while Gray landed several feet away, stumbling and falling onto one knee.
Several seconds of complete silence followed, but the Sky God slayer showed no signs of healing herself.
"I guess Gray's plan of exhausting the poor girl worked," Lucy raised her eyebrows in a mix of surprise and disapproval.
"The victor is Gray Fullbuster! This brings an end to Day 2 of the Grand Magic Games! The points now stand at:"

"Oh yeah! We're still in first place!" Lucy cheered.
"Gray-sama, you were amazing!" Juvia gushed, hugging Gray, who awkwardly patted her head.
"Now kiss~" I told them. Gray glared at me.
"Not happening."
"Oh come on, ice princess. You know you want to give rain lady a kiss!" Natsu smirked, throwing his arm over my shoulders.
"Oh, you are so dead, pinkie."
Erza and Lucy exchanged exasperated glances, as it to say; This is how we know Natsu and Skie are siblings.
