I pedaled my bike off the pavemented driveway and started making my way towards Finns house

Everyone knew where his house was because of all the insane parties he has.

5 minutes later his house is in my view and I pause. I don't know why, but I start to debate. I mean, there's no reason to say why I can't go. My dad is out with his friends since its gambling night and they always practice in the morning to 10:00 .p.m. when they start.

But if I don't go now he's gonna think I blew him off. And it's not like I can text him to say, "I'm busy" or "something came up" because my dad broke my phone a couple years back when he hit me on head with a beer bottle and I tried to call the cops so I can go to the hospital cause my head was bleeding

But then I remember our project. I couldn't let him do it himself. I take a deep breath and pedal up his driveway. I knock lightly and he quickly opens the door wearing an all black long-sleeved shirt, his dark hair was tangled into large curls and he honestly looked cute

Wait- what the heck did I just say?!

"Come in" he said before I can think some more thoughts

I walked in and looked around. His house was gigantic and his kitchen was the size of my whole house!

"The projects upstairs"

After 2 hours of working nonstop we finally finished and both decided to go for a break

"So, how are your parents?" I ask super quietly looking down

"They're just being the uptight dickheads they are" he says chuckling in some kind of... anger way

"I'm sorry" I say even quieter. "Are they both still lawyers?" I say remembering the time they came in for parent work day

"Nah, my dad is. My mom quit and now just travels and fucks the first guy she sees"

"Wow. She seemed very put-together"

"Well she's not. She's a bitch who only cares about dick and money. How's your parents?"

"Well, my mom is dead. She died in a car accident. And my dad... He's fine" I say lying about the last part. I didn't want him to know my dads abusive. I'll probably scare him off. I mean he's kinda my only friend. Along with his clique

"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know" he said trying to sound sympathetic but I don't think he really knows how

"Wanna do something fun?" He says smirking

"Like what?" I ask. I hope he doesn't mean sex. I'm still a hardcore virgin and I don't know anything about it

"Come with me" he says getting up

I follow him but then he goes into the bathroom and closes the door

When he comes out I get drenched with water

"AH"'I scream and he laughs and quickly runs down the stairs

I go into the bathroom (which is the size of my room!) and grab the HUGE Nerf water gun he must've placed on the counter and chase him

He hides somewhere and I suspiciously and quietly walk down the remaining stairs.

I look into every corner and every closet and I still couldn't find him

I walk back into the living room and I set my Nerf down on the small table next to the couch

Then all of a sudden, arms are thrown around me from behind the couch and Finn starts tickling me. He then turns me around so I'm facing him and we stare into each others eyes while our lips only inches away from each other

Our lips move closer together and I feel his breathe on mine. He closes his his and is about to kiss me before I grab my Nerf gun and squirt it in his face

He screams and opens his eyes, "oh I'm really gonna get you now"

Because there's no way to run in front of him, my only choice is to run back upstairs

I quickly make a run for it and go into his room

Finn

I chase after her as she makes a run for it upstairs. She runs into my room and I tackle her onto my bed and instantly start tickling her. There was something about her that, damn, she just made me feel like a little kid again. And I loved it

Millie

He finally stopped tickling me and I still couldn't stop laughing

We were both drenched so he got us both a towel and a blanket. "Finn?"

"Yeah" he replies drying his dark curly hair. "If you have all these guitars, why do you always come play at the shop?" Finn had about 10 guitars on his wall

"After I told my dad I was interested in guitars, he thought as in collecting. He started buying super expensive guitars that I couldn't even play.I love guitars and playing but he totally misunderstood" he said sitting next to me

"Then why won't you just tell him?"

"I tried. A lot. But he doesn't think guitar playing is a real career. He thinks there just for hobos who have nothing else to do in there life. He wants me to be a Lawyer but it's not what I want. I had a neighbor who loved guitars and he brought me one for my birthday. I still have it and it's like my most treasurable item. But then he died. I can't say I don't miss him cause I do. He was like my 2nd father."

Finn

It was weird cause I was just pouring all my feelings towards Millie. And she listened. She listened and she cared. I felt this feeling I never felt with anyone before and I didn't know how to respond to it

"Can you play me something?" She asked

"Yeah sure" I said and grabbed my guitar from under my bed. It was old and rusty but played amazingly perfectly

She crossed her legs and moved closer to me

I start to play "Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars"

I don't know exactly why, maybe because I knew all the lyrics, or maybe because it was easy to play on guitar, or because it was exactly how I felt about Millie
