My eyes spurted open at the sound of detonations and explosions just outside my window. The unexpected sonance jolted me awake as I perked up my ears, trying to figure out what made such a destructive noise. What was going on? I groggily sat up, still in a daze. I gradually peeped outside my window as I caressed my palms on the stained glass. I couldn't see much, because it was very vague, but the luminescence allowed me to see a shadowy figure outside. It looked like a person, but before I could see who it was as they strolled around the corner and out of my sight. I took a scent of the air as vapour and smoke began to enter my lungs. I scared stiff as I coughed out the gas, suffocating on my own breathing. It took me a while get off my bed and search for an exit. I sped to the ladder, but, it was coated by flames and smoke. I attempted to look for any other way out from certain death. The window. It was my only chance. I gripped my fist purposefully and used it to shatter the glass windowpane. My fist filled with more pain, due to the grazes I obtained from before, but I didn't have time to fuss about it. I set both palms on the frame base and hauled myself through the hollow before jumped out.
I alighted on the ground, murmuring in agony. I used up all my strength to hoist myself up. I was extremely lucky that I was used to excruciating pain. Because my entire body ached. I worked my way around the house, imperceptibly staggering, as I glimpsed around the corner. There was a gang of people outside. Placing TNT on my treehouse as they snickered noiselessly. I've never seen them before. But, I knew they weren't here to play nice. I moderately proved myself from the corner, unostentatiously strolled up to them, as I piercingly tapped one of them on the shoulder. "Excuse me!" I called, placing my hands on my hips, menacingly. They all began to face me, with exasperated and disoriented faces. "I'm sorry. Are you looking for trouble?" One of them mocked, irritatedly jabbing my chest. I tried not to make myself sound or feel daunted. That would only give them the satisfaction of seeing me stunned. "This happens to be my treehouse! I don't recall asking you to come around and destroy it". They scowled at me, standing on every side of me. They were clever. They made sure there was nowhere for me to run. I abruptly became threatened again, as I trembled uncontrollably. "Well, this is my treehouse now. So, why don't you go scram and look for someone else to cry to", They criticised me. "Haha! Nice one, Aiden!". One came up to me, harshly placed their hands on my shoulders and brutally jostled me to the ground, spraining my arm. They chuckled at my tendency and extended to go back to what they were doing. I fought back the tears as pain and torture congested up my upper body. I couldn't move, because I feared it would cause more distress to swell through the arm. I lied there. Hopeless. Defenceless. Vulnerable. The smoke flooded my vision as I began to lose every last drop of oxygen I had left.
Despite the vapour covering my vision, I was able to see a misty figure lurking up behind Aiden. They drew out an enchanted golden sword, beating him on the back and he toppled down. Oh my gosh! It was Petra. I can't believe she was here. Saving my terrified behind. "Go chock on a slime block, Aiden. Leave her alone!" She enjoins, stepping a few inches closer. Aiden scowled behind him, bitterly viewing at the aggressive female. "You think just because you're part of The Order you're so clever, don't you!", Aiden immorally snickered, lifting himself up, dusting himself off. He extracted out his diamond sword, scowling Petra sinfully. Petra chuckled, stepping in front of me in a guarding way. "I always wanted to do things the fun way" Petra claimed with taunting grin on her face. Aiden and his gang glanced at one another. As if they were speaking telepathically. In the end, Aiden rolled his bothered optics and shoved the sword back. "You two are both pathetic", he grimaced, booting a stone next to his foot, before he left. Petra shook her head, sceptical, before turning to face me. She extended her hand out within my gaze as I hesitated to seize it. She winched me back on my feet as I glanced at her bewildered. "You ok?", she asked, slipping her hand out of mine. I coated my mouth with my hands, trying not to explode from pure excitement. "Oh. My--I mean, yes, I'm fine", I sputtered over my own words. Petra gaped at what's left of my house. Basically, a big nothing. "Sorry about your house. It wasn't too shabby", she stated. I stuffed my hands into my pockets and gawked at the clay. "They'll be another", I huffed wistfully, digging my shoe into the soil. Petra crossed her arms and glimpsed into the darkness. "Since that treehouse is pretty much broken, why don't you come back with me?". I glanced up her in hysteria. She's offering to take me to the Order Hall? "Oh no! That'd be--I couldn't do that". She chortled at my stammering as I flush crept up my face from sheer discomfort. "I said it to one person, and I'll say it again; Consider it my charitable act of the day. Or night", she claimed. But, before I could reply, Petra stretched out to clutch onto my hand and tugged me with her. The stinging sentiment, swirled through my arm as I tried to warn her about the pain, but the wind brushing against my face and the sound of mobs cornering us, it was almost impossible.
