My eyes fluttered open leisurely as my vision mildly became clear. I lifted from the pillow, stretching my arms to unstiffen my body. I abruptly realised the building seemed quiet. Too quiet. I perked up my ear, trying to listen for any sounds. But, I heard nothing. I got out of the bed, leaving the blanket sheets toppled onto of each other. I peaked around the corner, but no-one was there. Where is everyone?, I conceived.
I then heard tiny giggling coming down the opposite side of the corridor. It wasn't one person, it was multiple people. I deliberately approached the soundless chuckling and glanced at where the noise was coming from. The Order stood before me. Olivia, Lukas and Axel were no longer modestly chuckling and were now laughing their heads off with joyful tears almost running down their cheeks. Jesse was unamused and was blushing furiously while crossing his angry arms. I could see his red cheeks from the other side of BeaconTown. Petra was obviously enjoying what was happening but tried her hardest to maintain a stone hard expression.
"Did I catch you guys at a bad time?" I finally spoke up, exposing myself from around the corner. Everyone stopped their giggling and gazed straight at me. Axel began to snigger while nudging Jesse's arm with his elbow. Jesse scowled back at him and slapped his elbow away from his sleeve before attentively gazing back at me. "Don't mind them, they're idiots," Jesse answered, grimacing back at his friends with a bitter frown. Axel scoffed. "I thought we were talking about Je--". Axel was cut off by Jesse elbowing him in the stomach and mouthed the words, 'Shut Up'. I raised an eyebrow, querying what Axel was going to say. "If you're talking about something personal, I can just go," I recommended, taking a few steps into the corridor. "No, sorry. We were just discussing...plans," Olivia protested, venturing to hold in the fit of giggles that were going to escape. Everyone but Jesse, left the room, tranquilly snickering as they went by.
"Sorry, about them. Bunch of pain in the cake hole," Jesse grunted, peering over my shoulder in case they were still eavesdropping. "What were you guys talking about?" I asked. Jesse rubbed the back of his neckline with the vague blush returning to his cheeks. "Um...We--", Jesse was disrupted by Petra stepping in front of me with a sly simper. "Hey, (Y/N), mind if I steal Jesse for a sec?" She "ignorantly" smiled at me. I glanced back at Jesse, who blandly shrugged at me."Uh, sure", I accepted stepping back as Petra took Jesse's arm and tugged him back. "I was about to leave anyway". I beamed and sent Jesse a little wave and left. I didn't see him, but I knew he was still gazing at the back of my head as I exited the Order Hall.

I forced the oak door open and entered the house. Jesse wasn't kidding when he said that he made my house better because it certainly looked that way. In the far corner of the room was a large wooden chest. I assumed Jesse rummaged through what was left from my stuff and tossed them into the chest. I don't remember what was in it, conceivably, the irreplaceable things. I strolled up to the chest and threw it open. I searched through it, obtaining a few relevant things, but shortly after, I froze. I picked up a worn out, faded photo from more than 10 years ago. The frames with slightly burnt from fire, but I could still tell what it was.
A flow of inadequate agitation and grief mingled inside me, looking at this picture until I reached a point where I scrunched up the photo and stuffed it in my pocket. I grasped a pair of flint and steel from the table and huffed outside. I removed the photo from my pocket and ignited the photo on fire. The miniature flames overtook the photo as ashes began to drop from it. I watched as it completely faded in the flames. Soon, the flames began to reach the corner I were I was holding. I promptly released it from my grasp as it descended to the ground. I'll spare you the explanation of what was on the photo. Just know that it was something very secluded. A very huge secret that I've been keeping since I moved into Beacon Town. Also something I'd really rather not talk about.
