Oh my gosh! 3K reads! You guys are the best! I am so shocked! This story is terrible and something I just started cause I was bored, yet it got over a thousand reads! I love you all! Sorry I haven't been updating for a while. I'm trying my best to spend at least 50 to 60% of my time updating my stories. If it's been a while and I still updated, let me know.

Max and I strolled down the cobblestone pathway, enjoying the ice-cream as we go. We hadn't said a word to each other since we came back from the parlour. And, I wanted it to stay that way. Something was...odd about Max. Or maybe it's just me. I don't know. Everything is so confusing. "You've been awfully quiet", Max stated, glancing at me. I flinched at the sound. "Is something troubling you?". I narrowed my eyebrows and finished the last scoop of my ice-cream. "I'm great", I tenderly muttered. Max didn't buy it. He gave me a distressed aspect. As if he was offended that I was lying to him. "You not very good at lying", he chuckled. I couldn't even grin at his remark. I was still thinking about things I probably shouldn't be. I couldn't even walk in a straight line. And Max unmistakably noticed. As I was lost in my thoughts, my foot shifted on the edge of the footpath. I almost toppled backwards. That was until Max glid his hand behind my waist and caught me.

I was kind of disoriented about how we ended up like this. At first, Max was kind of shocked. But his face soon rendered into a teasing sneer. "I know I'm charming, but you don't need to fall for me", he teased. My discomfort wasn't able to stop me from dispensing an irritated scowl. I benevolently forced him back and on my two feet. Max showed a flustered grin. "Heh! Sorry about that". He rubbed the back of his neck, unsettled. "Are you ok?". I nodded casually, my orbs facing the ground. Max's eyes suddenly perked up. "Is it just me, or are giant rocks heading straight towards the town?".

Rocks flew down from everywhere, causing destruction across the town. I groaned in irritation, pinching the bridge of my nose. " Not again!". I glanced back at Max. He narrowed his eyebrows, turning to me. As if he expected me to jump in and save the damn day. "I...need to do something", he informed me, slightly studdering, despite the exposure around us. "Go find somewhere safe to hide, until this wears off". Don't have to ask me twice.

As I was sprinting as fast as I could, attempting my best to dodge all the ores tumbling from the sky. Lamentably, I didn't get very far before a vermilion, blood-curdling radar flitted in front of me. I blundered backwards, trying to withdraw myself from getting caught in the beam. I pushed against the ground to put some distance between me and the glow. A lot of distance. I used a nearby tree to regain control of my own body and lift myself up. Abruptly, I regarded a figure within the radiant beam. I squinted my eyes, trying to see who or what was there. The dark shape stepped out of the light.

I was left speechless. He was there. Floating 2 feet off the freaking ground. Despite the heavy wind and falling rocks, his dark brown hair didn't seem to flow too much. He ominous, bright eyes glowed a menacing, transparent white as he cherished the destruction of the city. I struggled behind a mediocre bush to hide. Anyone would've done it if it was me. Seeing your dad for the first time in years is kind of terrifying. And I don't tend to associate with him anytime soon. Although I dived into the bushes like a wolf chasing its own tail, I noticed Herobrine with a sinister smile across his face, as his eyes radiated with curiosity. That can only mean one thing. He saw me. "I know someone's there", he rustled in an ominous tone, with the same corrupted simper covering his face. I covered my mouth with both my hands. As an attempt to not make a sound. Maybe if I was quiet, he would leave? But, I was wrong. Herobrine lifted up his hand and gradually clenched it. The trees, bushes and brambles all started to grow a treacherous colour of red. Including me! Screw you, telekinesis!

Unexpectedly, I began to drift in the air, along with the bushes and trees around me. I promptly and (sort of) modestly clutched onto a grass slab, trying to stay on the ground and out of sight. Herobrine scanned the area from his perspective, trying to see if there were any bystanders. I clutched onto the block for my dear life. I wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon. Somehow, he didn't see me, after a while, Herobrine ultimately gave up and freed everything that was in his grasp, before turning around and walking away. I stopped gleaming and fell onto the ground, letting out a miniature shriek. My screech caused Herobrine to snap his head towards the bush I landed behind. He glowered at the spot for a moment before shrugging and turning to leave. I unobtrusively sighed. Crap! That was close. Glimpsed around the now crooked bush, browsing the area. I breathed in relief, before cautiously getting up. I have to admit, Herobrine is a lot more intimidating than the last time I saw him. Which was years ago.
