Chapter 25 (PREVIEW)

Hey everyone! It's been some time. If you are wondering why the updates have been a bit slow, it's because I'm working on a few plot ideas. As you all know, I made this story when I was still new to writing and had no idea what I was doing, so there's a bunch of things I wish I added or changed about this story to make it less amateurish. But here's a preview for the upcoming chapter:

She shook her head, finally turning up to face him. "Jesse. My guess is Jesse".

Without another word, Herobrine showed his wide, cheshire grin before a red, menacing aura surrounded him. We were barely able to process what was happening before suddenly, Jesse poofed right before Olivia. His head was bowed, and his floppy hair was covering his face in a somewhat cryptic way. I wanted to give a sigh of relief, as I thought that he was safe.

Olivia smiled with contentment, " Jesse! Are you ok?".

She went jogging up to him, but she suddenly stopped right in her track as he lifted his face to her. She was painted with horror, as she took a few steps back. A living embodiment of fear immobilized her as she gawked at Jesse as if she was staring at a monster. I leaned to the side to peek over her shoulder, wanting to know what had her so spooked. That's when I realised it wasn't Jesse in front of her. It may have been his body, but it wasn't him. His eyes were still glowing that minacious colour of red, which means he was still under the control of Herobrine. But if he was standing on the platform, that means...

"Well, don't just stand there", Herobrine told Olivia. "If you want to escape here, you have to kill him".

Fear sucked all the breath away from my mouth. My pulse was beating in my ears, blocking out the sound of Herobrine menacing chortle.

Kill....Jesse?

My mind couldn't process those horrid words.

He grinned, "Yup! Killing him is the only way out!".
