Something Just Like This

There's color everywhere
All around me
Yet sadly
I don't have it
So I walk alone
With my hands in my pockets
And my head down
At least until I met you

You breathed new life into me
Spun my head around
Dragged me to new worlds
My head was in the clouds
In the stars actually
And I felt so free
And you were fine with me
You loved me, and I loved you

So we took to the stars
Leaving my bleak world behind
You showed me everything
While I kept you grounded
When you floated too far
The colors never ceased
Flurries of yellow, orange, and purple
Flooded my senses

I even helped you
When you became overwhelmed
I helped you focus
When you floated too high
I brought you back down
As gently as I could
Because you loved me
And I loved you
