With a head towards the sky

And a head in the clouds,

I always wondered what was going on in their mind.

The stars shone brilliantly,

The first time I've ever seen them,

And here they were just... thinking, and wondering.

We were strangers to this whole thing,

Whatever we were at the moment.

Yet we both walked through this space as if it were second nature.

They to me were an enigma,

A piece of a puzzle that had an odd placement

And any moment I received, I tried to figure them out.

Who was this beauty before me?

How are they even with me?

Those questions eventually fell to the wayside with every moment.

They lived in a different world

Or at least different than mine

And yet here we were sharing the same space.

At all opportunities, I kept staring

At their eyes, their face, their whole being.

It enthralled me how they were able to exist.

And yet they smiled at me.

And yet they held me close.

And yet they saw through my robotic being.

I was made for one specific purpose,

To follow any and all orders

No matter the cost, even if it nearly killed me.

And yet this beauty here

Never gave me an order.

All they said was to "live".

They brushed my hair away from my eyes.

They giggled as they put my face in their hands.

And in that first touch, my exterior started to soften.

Thus began our adventures together.

Somehow coexisting, we went on our own.

And within that time of us together, for the first time I started to breathe.

I had somehow changed them,

They told me later

But this change was positive, and I felt the same way.

I couldn't see this change,

But I knew it was happening

And this change grew on me, softening me.

And now under the stars,

I decide to stop analyzing for one minute,

To try as much as I could to "live".
