I prefer to watch Christmas movies
When I'm by myself.
I can watch them with other people,
But I can't reveal my emotions.
They all have a similar theme,
With a family coming together,
And as much as I want to believe it,
My family has some bridges burned.
Sure we all see each other,
Give each other presents and all that,
But the emotion is barely there,
And every year I wish it was.
For once I want it to feel like Home,
Where I can feel safe for once
And express myself fully.
But that feeling never comes.
