You lay on the ground, blood spilling from all over your body. You saw a couple faces around you, then you blacked out. You tried to take on Zarkon by yourself, and look where it got you.

They write us off and say it's just another opinion

You woke from your cyropod slumber, just to be caught by Shiro. "(Y/n)," Shiro said in his dad voice. "What you did was very risky, you could've died. Don't do that again." He finished. You stood on your own. "The need of the many overpowers the need of the few. And the many need Zarkon gone." You say, then walked out, Shiro's gaze on you the whole time.

You had other plans. You were training more than Keith, which is saying a lot. They didn't notice. You made it look like you were training for your next mission. But you haven't been getting missions lately, probably because what happened last time.

"There is a rescue mission on planet Hergth. Right now, let's go!" Allura called over the intercoms. You ran into the control room, overly excited to go on your first mission in a while. As you were about to run into your lion, you felt a hand on your shoulder.

"I'd rather you stay here, (Y/n)." Allura said. You didn't want to, but you knew she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. You sighed. "Fine." You say, she smiles. "Good, you can help from the castle. She says and walks away, leaving you alone with your lion. "Next time, white, next time." You say, patting the mechanical lion's paw. She purred in agreement as you left, heading back to the control room.

The mission was a complete failure. All the Paladins stormed into the dinning room. "Maybe if I went, things would've ended differently..." You muttered to yourself, apparently not quiet enough. "Shut up!" Keith yelled, glaring at you from across the table. You finally snapped, all the rage you built up, was released. You contained some of it, but words just kind of slipped out.
