Freak. Nerd. Dumb. Idiot. What do these words have in common? They're what you're called on a day-to-day basis. You were bullied by the 5 most popular kids in school.

Shiro; the typical jock, Hunk; the supposed-to-be sweetheart of the school, Lance; the 'ladies-man', Keith; the bad boy, and Pidge; the smart-alic.

You don't really talk that much, because you prefer speaking through pens and paint on paper. That's right, you're an artist; and a good one at that. That's one of the reasons you like going to the park. The park has a big wall that you can just draw on and express yourself. But, recently, you could only come at night, because of the 'popular kids' hanging out during the day.

At last period, which happened to Art, you had a substitute. And substitute means free draw the whole period. You were sketching an idea for a new mural; a lone flower on a wasteland hill, with light shining only on the flower. It's cliche, but very powerful. It saying to see the light in the dark, or be the flower in a wasteland. It's actually VERY cliche, now that you think about it.

That's when the bell rang, but you didn't hear it, so you just kept happily sketching in your sketch pad. That was mistake number one. Mistake number two was doing mistake number one in Art class. Why? Because your bullies are in there, of course!

"Hey Baka~" Pidge called in a melodic voice. "Pidge! You know she can only comprehend only one language!" Hunk said, actually sounding concerned instead of smug. "Relax, even I know that one. It means idiot." Lance replied with a smirk. All the while, you couldn't hear them over your own thoughts consisting of 'does this look okay?' and 'I think this line is a bit too long...'

"Hey, stupid!" Keith yelled, knocking you out of your thoughts. "Class is over, not that you have anything better to do." He added, walking out. "Loser!!" Shiro called as he walked out with the rest of his 'posse', earning snickers from them. You got up with a huff, shoving your pencils and sketchbook into your unorganized bag, then start your long walk home.

Your mom works late shifts and your dad is always on business trips. But you had your key, and your sketches, so it's all good. You unlocked the door to the empty, lifeless house, and stepped in slamming the door behind you. You ran to your room and opened your closet, allowing some stray paint bottles and spray cans to roll out. You gathered some spray paint cans, brushes, paints, and sponges into your black art bag, preparing to start your mural that night.

Sooner than later fell nighttime, 10:00 to be exact. You put on some navy jeans and a black hoodie, and grabbed your keys as you left. You quickly snuck into the always open park. You didn't do much, just the red-blue-purple sky.

The next day was full of insults, learning, sketches; the usual. However, when you went back to the park that night, you found someone painted black, grey, and white over your sky. Which was fine, it was only paint. So you painted back on the sky, and added some dark-green and brown hills.

The next day when you came back, you found that someone painted black, grey, and white over your scenery. You smiled, as you painted on a vibrant (f/c) and green flower. You also put a message on the top: See the light in the darkest times, And you'll be the flower in the barren wasteland. And with that being written, you left.

The next night you got a message next to the mural instead of your colors being mute. The handwriting was rather large, but still legible. Why do you want to see the light? There is no light!

You smiled at that. Who ever it is, they should know. They wrote it. You. You are why. If you don't see it, then I will. Because Somebody has to. You responded, leaving afterwards.

The next night, you got another message. But this hand writing was messier than last night, and had a completely different style, so you assumed that this was someone else. Woah...

It wasn't long before you realized that there were more messages around your painting. I haven't thought of it that way. One said. What?! Something Pidge hasn't thought of?!

Shut it, Flirty. Pidge? The school's mini-teacher? One of my bullies? You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, but quickly eliminated the thought that these messages to you were from them. There isn't a single insult!  Unless......They don't know it's me... How can I know it's them?

That's when the idea hit you. Pidge, huh? The smarty of the school? You left the note under her's, and ran home. The message left the next day was pleasantly surprising. Yeah, you know me?

Then you must know me! The names, Lance~ you giggled, as you never thought that he'd flirt with you. I'm Shiro. What's your name?

Your breath hitched as you read that, along with everyone introducing themselves. What should I tell them?! What should I do?! You can call me Gadget. I go to your school, I actually know you personally. You write, recalling your middle school nick-name. You packed up your spray cans, and left.

You've have been talking to them for weeks, and even became friends with them all. We should all meet up! Hunk noted the next night. There were signs of agreement on the wall. But of course you couldn't. These guys were really good friends, in fact, they're your only friends. And you didn't want to lose them.

But, this would happen sooner or later. Meet me at the little coffee shop at 10 tomorrow morning. You wrote them left, planning on what to do.

When you got home you rummaged around your closet to find something to disguise yourself with. You found light blue ripped jeans and a purple hoodie. That'll work. You thought as you placed them on the end of your bed. You draped the covers over yourself and stared at the ceiling.

What if they hate you?  What if they bully you even more? What will happen when they find out you tricked them? They'll hate you. They won't like you. They'll bully you.

How do you know? You ask the little negative voice. One way to find out...

The morning came a bit too early for your liking, but, what could you do? You could just not go...? You could save yourself the embarrassment...?

You tried to brush that thought aside as you got dressed, but it didn't go away. So, you ended up chickening out and grabbing your spray cans. You went to write an apology on the wall in the park.

You actually did feel bad for ditching them. But it was close to eleven in the morning, and they'd get back to the park soon, so you had to write only a small sorry before heading off.

As you were walking back to your house, you heard quick footsteps running to catch up behind you. You sighed and remembered you still have your hood up, so they still can't see who you are.

You felt a gloved hand grab your wrist. "Who are you!" You hear Keith's voice yell at you. You sigh again and turn your head to look at him. Pidge, Hunk, Shiro, and Lance were standing not very far behind Keith.

You take off your hood and Hunk and Shiro's jaws drop, Lance gasps way to over dramatically, and Keith and Pidge are staring at you, wide-eyed. You smirk and let out a satisfied 'hmph', and walked back to your house. Leaving a dumbfounded group of populars to figure out what the heck just happened.
