Bullies!Various x Bullied!Reader

———————————————————————————

Music class wasn't really your thing. Anything but art wasn't really your thing, to be honest. You just waited in your corner away from everyone until the bell rang, signaling freedom. You just stared into your lap, where your most recent sketch was. You couldn't get over what the 'popular kids' did to your notebook. Maybe they aren't so so bad...

You never thought something so loud and annoying could be so beautiful and relieving, but low and behold, the last school bell exists. The teacher finishes up his lecture and wishes everyone to have a good weekend as kids pack up and join their friends as they walk out of the classroom. You were the last one left in the class. As you scrambled to get all your stuff together, you heard the teacher approaching.

"Ms. (L/n)," the teacher said, and you finished packing and looked up at him. "I couldn't help but notice you weren't paying attention in class. Anything wrong? You're usually very attentive." He informs, raising his eye brows. You actually contemplate telling him about everything, but that idea was quickly thrown out the window as you see your bullies..? Friends? You didn't know at this point. Them. They are walking away from class.

"Ah, no, just tired." You say nervously, looking down at your neatly stacked books. You weren't a very good liar, and you felt he knew that you were lying, but he just nodded slightly and said, "Well, Miss, despite your tiredness you need to pay attention in class. I'm afraid I'll have to give you detention." You took a few seconds to process, then nodded your head. Your life was such a mess, that you didn't care at this point.

You picked up your stuff and left the classroom, heading towards your locker to grab your stuff, then to the classroom where detention was held. You swore you saw all of them leave, but you were proven wrong as you walking to find Keith, staring at the clock from the back of the room. You breath hitches as you try to get to a desk far from him as low as humanly possible. You tried to stay out of his line of sight, but luck wasn't on your side.

"Why're you walking like that? You look like a dork." You heard him grumble, eyes flicking to you for a mere moment before he turns back to the clock. You collapse into a seat as if his gaze shot you. Slumping down lower as if you could melt into the floor, you're gaze was held on the clock. 56 minutes left... ooo boyyy...

You tapped your nails against the desk impatiently, that and the clock ticking on the wall being the only sounds in the room. Until footsteps approaching you ruin the rhythm. You instantly snapped your head back down to you fidgeting fingers and the person sat in the chair next to you. You assumed that it was Keith, him being the only other person in the room, as the teacher was yet to arrive. You assumed correctly.

"Hey," Keith says, tapping your shoulder. You try to not react to the sudden interaction, but you end up flinching away, so much so that you fall out of the seat. As you slowly open your eyes from the impact, you see Keith's head pop into your vision, a little too close for your liking. You scoot a bit away. "You okay?" He asks, holding out his hand for you to take. You hesitate for a bit, then grab his hand as he practically yanks you to your feet.

"I'm sorry." He apologizes, looking away and scratching at the back of his neck. "I-it's okay-" "No, I mean, for everything. I'm sorry." He cuts you off. You were surprised. The schools bad boy apologizing? To me? Like he means it? Fat chance. "I don't think your telling the truth-" "I am! I can prove it to you!" And before you can question any further, he hugs you. His arms were around your waist, but not your arms, so you were free to push away if you wanted to.
