Chapter 37

Ponyboy's POV

Today Sodapop and I are moving into Taylor's house. I'm really gonna miss our house, all of the memories. I remember when Darry would chase Soda and Soda used to use me as a shield so Darry couldnt get to him. I remember, before the rumble, everyone was excited. Darry wont see Soda get married, he wont see Taylor and Sodapop's baby, he wont see me and Tobi get married.

"Baby, you okay?" Tobi asks and wraps her arms around my waist, I wrap my arms around her and let the tears fall.

Taylor's POV

I put my hair up in a high ponytail and walk outside to help Pony and Soda move some of their belongings into my house. I walk into the living room, Pony and Tobi are cuddling on the couch, how sweet.

After Soda and I moved everything, we sat on the couch and watched Mickey Mouse. Then, the front door slams and Two-bit, Steve, Tobi, and Ponyboy come in. Emily runs down stairs and goes up to Two-bit, he picks her up and starts spinning her around.

"Since when do you have a tattoo?" Soda asks me and traces my once hidden tattoo. No one really knew about my blue butterfly tattoo, until now. I have a blue butterfly tattoo on the back of my neck.

"Uh, for a year or two." I say and play it cool, everybody sits on the couches and starts to listen in about my tattoo. Should I explain?

"What does it mean?" Steve asks, I open my mouth to explain but an agonizing pain hits me. I scream out in pain.

"Taylor!? What's wrong?!?" Tobi asks, Soda comes to my side and helps me up.

"Baby. Coming. NOW!" I spit out between short breaths, everyone starts freaking out and I'm moved into Darry's old truck.

Through the whole drive I was in excruciating pain, Tobi kept telling me to take short breaths but that didn't help, Soda held onto my hand and that somewhat comforted me.

Tobi's POV

Taylor was moved into the delivery room a few hours ago. What could be taking her so long!? You just push the baby out and your done!

Ponyboy holds my hand as we wait for Taylor and Soda to come out of the delivery room.

"Guys! What's the update?!" Grace shouts as she runs towards us with Jasmine and Dally behind her. Johnny stands up and wraps his arms around her.

"Taylor and Soda are still in the delivery room." I tell them, Grace and Jasmine take a seat next to me.

"Soda doesn't have a... why is he delivering? Does he secretly have a-" Dallas starts to say, what a dumbass.

"No! Soda gets to stay by Taylor while she pushes that little shit outta her. I always thought you were smarter than me, guess not." I state and start laughing, Jasmine rolls her eyes and starts laughing too. Grace doesn't laugh because she's in a heated make out with Johnny.

"Ya'll gotta get a room!" Pony shouts, we all start laughing and Grace blushes a deep shade of red. Guess she'll be the next pregnant!

"Who's here for Taylor Marie?" A nurse asks, I stand up first but then everybody else stands up. I step forward and the nurse guides me to the room that Tay is in.

I enter the room and Taylor has a light blue bundle in her arms, I walk over to the bed and look over at the little baby boy in her arms. This baby has dark brown hair, most likely from Soda, and bright blue eyes that are just like Taylor's.

The rest of the gang comes in and take a look at the new addition of the Curtis family.

"What's the baby's name?" Two-bit asks, we all turn to Taylor for an answer. She looks down at her little bundle of joy and smiles.

"Luke. Luke Curtis." Taylor says, Soda smiles and kisses her cheek. Pony wraps his arms around my waist from behind.

"Maybe we can start our own family soon." Pony whispers in my ear and kisses my cheek.

"I'd like that." I say and kiss his lips.
