The sun was a thin line of fire on the horizon now.  You shivered a little as the breeze picked up.

"Come here," he said leading you over to the bow where you sat against the cushions, his arms around you.  You leaned your head back against his chest, stretched out under one of the blankets.

He sighed, a deep sigh.  There seemed to be a lot of weight in that sigh.  You looked up at him.

"You okay?" you asked.

"I'm fine," he said, giving a forced smile and that brave face.  That face he wore every time you crumbled to pieces and he had to pick you up.

"Hey, that's my line," you sat up and eyed him, "Level with me."

He ran a hand over his face, then through his hair and sighed again.

"I think things are just starting to hit me," he said, his eyes filled with worry.

"Going away," he continued, "leaving you, carrying this whole franchise on my shoulders...I'm starting to feel the pressure," he grabbed a strand of you hair and started twirling it around his finger.

"What if I can't pull this off?"he asked, his lips pouting slightly.

You grabbed his shoulders and squeezed until he looked at you.  And when he did, you saw a scared little boy in his eyes.  It made your heart just melt for him.

"Tom, you are the most amazing person I've ever met," you said and he shook his head slightly.
"No, you are," you insisted, "and you're not ever going to be anything less than that.  You've worked so hard and busted your ass and always given 110%.  This isn't going to be any different."

"It is different.  I didn't have you before," he said looking in your eyes.

"Hopefully that's not a bad thing," you said but it sounded more like a question.  Were you becoming a distraction?  That's not good.  Were you adding to this pressure he spoke of?  Also, not good, Y/N.  Look at him, he's on the precipice of exploding into stardom and he's sad about leaving his girlfriend.

"You can't help that things are going to change.  I mean, they already are, aren't they?  I saw the way those girls were looking at you at the airport."

Tom blinked like he was trying to remember.

"It's okay, I'm just saying that things around you will change but you don't have to.  You won't and neither will I.  We'll still be us.  Even if you're on another continent.  Even if all I can see of you is some shitty footage from TMZ."

He laughed at that.  You smiled, glad you could get a laugh out of him, then kissed him softly on the lips.  You pulled away and whispered reassuringly, "You got this, kid."

His smiled slowly, eyes on your lips, then kissed you again.  You leaned into his kiss and he swiftly pulled you on top of him.  His hands gripped your hips, gently at first, then stronger as your kiss deepened.  You writhed against him, exploring his lips with yours. Your hands roamed through his hair eagerly tugging at those curls.  He gave a little growl when you did.

"Y/N?" Tom said softly.

"Hmm?" you responded, distracted by the kisses you placed on his cheek, his jawline, his neck.

"Promise me we'll never change."

You stopped and leaned up to look at him.  His face was flushed with excitement, but his eyes were so serious.  As much as you wanted to promise him that, you weren't nearly as certain as you put on.  You could only hope it be true.

You gave a half smile and put on your own brave face.

"You bet your ass we won't, Tiger."
