"Come on before we miss it!" Tom was dragging you down the narrow hallway, up the steep steps and back out onto the deck of the yacht.  You spent the night in the master cabin.  Tom said the boat was yours til the morning.  He even snuck a bag with your toiletries and change of clothes.  Sneaky little bugger.

"Miss what?" you said sleepily, dragging your feet behind him.  The boat seemed particularly rocky this morning.  Your stomach did a flip.

"The sunrise," he said excitedly.  How did he have this much energy at this hour?  You didn't exactly get a whole lot of sleep last night.  There were a few winks had in between the love making, but he pretty much had you going all night.  The scratches on his back were evidence of that.  You smiled to yourself, watching his toned back as his pulled you onward and upward.

"Can we get coffee first?" you whined.  A morning person, you are not.

"There's no time," he led you out into the open air and over to the bow.  The clouds were just starting to pick up some soft yellow and to the east the sky and sea began to split with bright gold.

Tom stood behind you, his arms wrapped around you, resting his chin on your shoulder.  You stifled a yawn.  You were trying to be a good sport but fuck, it was early.

"One day," he said, "we're going to look back and say, 'Remember that time we went to Greece and just got lost in each other?"

You smiled at that.  Romantic Tom was starting to become your favorite Tom.  Anytime he mentioned a future with you in it, your heart didn't just skip, it did a motherfucking back flip.

"You did good, Tiger." you said.

He kissed your cheek and let go of you, "I've always wanted to do this," he said, climbing over the railing onto the very tip of the bow.  He crawled as far as he could go and slowly stood up. Jesus, you thought watching him, he really is Spider-Man.

"Tom, please be careful," you cringed.  He looked like he was teetering over the edge.  It made your stomach lurch again.  You gripped the railing and tried to shake the feeling away.

"I'm good, babe," he said looking straight ahead then lifted his arms and shouted, "I'm king of the woooooooorld!!!"

You burst into laughter.  You couldn't help yourself.  He always came from a place of absolute sincerity.  And he was fearless, so fearless.  I should be more like him, you thought, admiring him.

He looked back at you and held out a hand.

You shook your head emphatically, "No. No way."

He just looked at you, hand out, eyebrow cocked at you like he knew you would change your mind if he was just patient.  Fuck it, he was right.  Be fearless, you reminded yourself.

You grabbed his hand and stepped over the railing, carefully, until you were finally able to stand up too, but not without clinging onto him.

"You made this look easier than it is," you said nervously.

"I won't let go," he said smiling.

"Never let go, Jack," you said all breathy and dramatically.

"Now that I've got you here, I have something I want to ask you," Tom said, taking your hand. You still clung to him with the other.  His bicep flexed with every squeeze you gave it.

Um.

What?

He grabbed your other hand and stood in front of you, gorgeous as ever.  The sun crawled lazily up the sky.  You could see it behind him.  It cast a sort of halo about him, making him beam at the edges.  You had to blink a few times to get him into focus.

"Y/N, you know I love you..., "Tom began.

What is happening?! you thought.

"And I've been thinking about us a lot..." he continued.

Your breathing became labored and your heart started racing.

"Y/N," Tom lifted your chin, "will you..."

Here it comes, you thought in a panic.  No, not that!

You jerked your head away, dropped to your knees and...

...puked over the side of the boat.
