i know im putting off Lost! to make this. shut up mom
Hawk chased Sky's tail playfully. "I'll get you now!" He meowed. Sky closed her eyes and sped up. "You'll never get me alive!" She said before hitting her face into her mother, Stealth Eye's paws.
"Sorry mother." She sighed, dusting herself off. "It's okay, dear." Stealth Eye reassured the kit.
Hawk tilted his head. "So, mother, when is dad coming home?" He stepped away from his mom and sat down.
"O-oh.. He'll be back.. Soon." Stealth Eye's voice wavered and there was a hint of sadness and worry in her tone. This concerned Hawk, but he was sure his mom was just feeling bad, as a strange sickness had been coming over the family quite recently.
The door to the house opened, and Stealth Eye perked her ears up, but pulled them back slightly as Crooked Tooth walked into the room.
Crooked Tooth spoke not a word to his family as he approached his room, opened the door and went inside.
All was silent in the living room aside from the small squeaks that came from Sky's paws running across the wooden floor, but that silence was drowned out as soon as Crooked Tooth returned carrying a bag on his back.
"Pack your things. We're leaving." He said blankly to the two kits. Sky stopped moving and sat down, a mixture of confusion and concern on her face.
"C-Crooked Tooth, please. Let this happen later, when they're-" Stealth Eye spoke worriedly, Hawk tried to understand what she meant by this but he just couldn't decipher whatever adult code she used.
"No!" Shouted Crooked Tooth, the sudden outburst startling everyone in the house. "I've waited months, Stealth Eye! You are not keeping me from my child any longer."
Stealth Eye closed her eyes and nodded sadly.
"Is Mama coming with us..?" Sky said in a more slow and worried tone than she usually spoke in.
"No. She isn't." Crooked Tooth sighed, before sitting by the door, bag still on his back. "Now you and Hawk go pack your things, we'll be going very soon."

Hawk carried his belongings on his back just like his father, and stepped outside to bid farewell to his friend, Domino.
Hawk had had a crush on Domino for a few months by this point, and was broken at the fact that he had to let him go.
"Goodbye, Domino." Hawk muttered, trying to hold back his tears.
"Goodbye..? Hawk, what's going on?" Domino said, pulling his ears back. Domino was a fox, quite small compared to Hawk, and Hawk couldn't help but focus on his black fur shining in the sun. But this wasn't a pretty moment, not in any sense.
"I'm leaving here. Forever. To go with my dad.. Somewhere." Hawk sniffled. Domino rushed to Hawk's side and wrapped his fluffy tail around the leopard. "I'm sorry, Hawk. It'll be really sad to see you go!"
"Yeah." Hawk growled. The words Domino spoke had given Hawk a strong hatred towards his father. It was his dad's fault he'd never be able to see the love of his life any longer. "Real sad."
"Come on, Hawk." Crooked Tooth said to the boy from a distance. "We don't have much time."
"Goodbye, Domino." Hawk sighed, standing up and turning to his friend one last time.
"Goodbye, Hawk! I promise I'll see you again someday!" Domino beamed with a kindness and happiness that'd never drain.
"Yeah." Hawk said, tears in his eyes. "I'll never forget you."
