SPIRITS -

When someone dies, if they have done good, they will live on as a spirit. Spirits deliver prophecies and future tellings to those who are special. Hawk can see his future and sometimes the futures of others through looking into the water, and some other animals can do the same in different ways. The future is told to them by spirits. Spirits cannot be summoned, and do not stay in the real world, they can only be found through dreams.

Spirits have white outlines and star pupils, and their eyes are lighter colors than they were when alive. If a spirit was disabled when alive, (ex. They were blind, deaf, had a permanent scar, brain damage, insanity, mental illness of some degree) and they were not happy with it, it goes away when dead.

A good example of an animal that dies and becomes a spirit is ICE - Glaze's sister. 

GHOSTS -

When someone dies, and their actions aren't good nor bad, they will live on as ghosts. Ghosts will live in a permanent home known as "permanent mediocrity" unless they are summoned through fire. The most commonly summoned ghost is Dream Stone, the snow leopard alpha's dead sister. 

Ghosts have outlines that range from gray to black depending on their actions when alive. Their eye whites are black and their pupils are X's or completely fully colored in stars. If a ghost was disabled when alive, it will leave them, regardless of whether they were happy with it or not. However, the injuries they got from dying (ex. if beheaded, = head will be off as a ghost, if their stomach is cut open, = bloody stomach) will stay on them.

A good example of an animal that dies and becomes a ghost is GWENNIE - One of the main characters and Hawk's sister.

DARK SPIRITS -

When someone dies, and their actions were considered bad (though sometimes mistakes can be made), they live on as dark spirits. Dark spirits wander the world alone, and cannot be summoned anywhere.

Dark Spirits have red outlines that are dark or light, it doesn't matter. Their eye whites are black and their pupils are thin and small lines. All disabilities stay with dark spirits and all injuries from death do as well.
